Kanter traded to OKC

...I haven't been following the pathetic Jazz very closely this year, but I suspect they wouldn't have traded Kanter if they didn't think he was a stiff, true or false?

No agenda.

Except for this agenda:

I was just sick of reading about how ****ty he thinks our management is. I have a higher view of the management, and see the trade from a different light. I brought up the Hayward thing because that quote if gvc liking Babbitt over Hayward has been around a few tines, and not only that,

None whatsoever?

but he said it was a huge mistake to match Haywards max offer. Can you imagine how bad it would have been for the team if we didn't match Haywards offer? Judging from Haywards play thus year, he is clearly worth it.

Pretty much everyone here except me thought Hayward wasn't worth more than $11mm. Why are you singling out one poster (who has most likely admitted that thus far he was wrong on the signing)?

I freaking love Rudy Gobert. What a bad ***. He knows it too.

I still can't believe we ended up with him. Unreal.

That video is great because you can see the excitement about starting now. It's well deserved too. I'm glad we made the right decision. Keeping him happy is going to be at the top of the priority list.

^ Definitely an exaggeration.

And, in case you haven't realized, literally everyone has been ridiculed for hating on Hayward.

DL is following the KOC philosophy of getting rid of quality players for nothing.

That's just false. Not trading him would have been getting rid of him for nothing.

Kanter wasn't staying as long as we were gonna play Rudy and Favors more than him. He would have taken the qualifying offer and bailed.

Trading Kanter was the right thing to do, even if it didn't feel like we got enough. We got more than we would have, had we held on to him.

What we got in the deal > renting Kanter for a year and a half.

You know a lot about how to quote stats and stuff, and the salary cap and all that, but I really question your player judgment.
How is this relevant? Why not engage in actual discussion?

In my mind, if gvc says don't go get s player, the jazz should get him. You thought Babbitt would be better than Hayward...
and? I was wrong then, and I'll be wrong again at some point. I don't think that anyone who's ever been wrong about anything should stop thinking or having opinions. It's unfortunate you think otherwise.

and also, go **** yourself.

and now you say you aren't high on exum or Gobert.
I didn't say that. reading is fundamental.

If you think that DL has bungled this situation, explain what you would have done? Would you have traded kanter earlier? Because then it would appear that you are giving up on an asset too soon.
Unfortunately, I'm not privy to much of anything that goes on behind the scenes, including when Kanter's people started asking for a trade and what might have been available had DL tried to make a trade earlier (maybe he did). I'm simply expressing my opinion about this particular trade and DL's overall asset management.

FWIW, I thought KOC was a terrific GM. DL has been a dud so far.

Would you rather have never taken a couple second round picks for a rental of Novak that had a slim chance if working out?
The Jazz received ONE 2nd round pick for Novak. We have no idea how he affected the Jazz's haul in the Kanter trade. And no, I wouldn't have made the Novak trade last summer.

You seem very sure of yourself in this, but don't really supply any other answers than you think Lindsay is a lazy gm.
1. Should I apologize when expressing my opinion?

2. If you want to engage in a discussion, you might start by actually responding to something I've posted in the thread. Then I could consider your opinions/questions, think about them, and formulate a response. Really pretty simple. Once again, go **** yourself.

What are/were these players respective ages?

Pretty young-- but this didn't stop the likes of Manu, or Saric.

Conversely, even an old fart like Pero Antic came to the NBA, and put up basically some
of the best numbers of his career up until that point.

I'm always skeptical of someone whose join date is 2012 and goes back in history to 2010 to try to dump on a well known as a solid poster. What's your agenda here?
At least he's a predictable: A complete ****ing moron through and through.
