Kanter traded to OKC

All was pure hustle too. Good example of the importance of hustle, which we will see a lot in Jazz games probably from now on.

WE sure saw it last night. Jazz won the game on sheer effort and determination. Booker was every bit the backup 4 we'd want. He didn't shoot very well, but he was all over the floor and LA.

Watching this game... since when is McGary a world beater?!

Since he was born... If we got mcgary and put him on the same floor as Gobert it would be like crossing the streams in ghostbusters.

I have never seen...

1. Kanter passing up an open Jumpshot for a better one
2. Kanter setting great picks
3. Kanter playing good defense 3 or 4 possessions in a row

Playing for a contending team will be huge experience for his career going forward.

How's the weather in Turkey this time of year? Are the sunsets rose-colored, or is that just the glasses?

Another way to look at the asset return on Kanter. Could be worse.

Derrick Williams was selected number 2, above Kanter, and was traded to Sacramento for Luc Mbah a Moute, who had previously been acquired by Sacramento for a second round draft pick.

Derrick Williams also sucks, but at least we got more than a single second rounder.

Enes (Kanter) was a guy who obviously wanted the trade, so I’m sure he’s embraced it. But you’ve been on a lot of teams. Do you give him any advice about switching teams, things like that?

Nah, I just told him he needed to apologize to my family because he was the one going to the media causing all the problems and next thing you know, my wife’s crying and it’s his fault (laughs). No, no. I know it was something that he’s been vocal about wanting to change places and obviously to get a call from OKC is much more than he would have asked.

You know Enes better than we do. A little scouting report on his game?

If I were you, I’d ask his agent. Because I heard he was saying he’s one of the best players of this generation (laughs). But, no, to be honest he’s an elite offensive player in terms of his ability to shoot the ball and post up. Such a strong guy. Young. So I think we’ve really seen this year glimpses of him at his best really scoring the ball and really running hard. I think he’s going to get a lot better.

This is from an interview Steve Novak did with an okc tv station. Seems like he doesn't much like kanter.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are 1-0 since inserting Enes Kanter into their lineup.

And yet, his numbers were not quite where he wants them, so he's probably not happy. Maybe Westbrook will understand that this is a contract year for Enes, and decide to give him some of his possessions. He better get his now while he can, cuz once KD and Adams return, it's gonna be slim pickins.

Enes Kanter just told Adams/McGary that he is 22. Kanter: "Turn 23 on May 20th." Adams: "Ooooh...What are we doing for your birthday?"

Enes is probably gonna forget about his 3.5 years in SLC

Although I loved what I saw against Porty, it's hard to deny the double double Kanter out up last night. This is going to be interesting to follow.

No one doubts he's a double double guy when playing 30+ minutes. But I also doubt there are many that believe that translates to big time winning basketball.

i'm picking OKC to shock the world if KD plays into his mvp form. yes, that's big if, but still plenty of time left for him to get back. right now, he is putting up numbers, but just look off. their bigs will save KD's body. KD and russ needs to play less than 36min rest of the way.

playoffs gonna be so interesting.

That's the issue... The guy is a bull. I was more impressed with his two assists.

In the end I don't think we will look back at this trade as a loss... It is possible that everyone won on this deal. I do think that kanter will get less minutes if OKC gets healthy.
