Yeah I'm watching the game right now, he already looks like a really good fit. Amazing what a good guard does to compliment his game.

I turned in, too. What bothers me more is Kanter setting great picks for them. I never saw him setting picks like that playing for us. Every Big of us sucked at setting picks. Maybe it´s something about coaching direction. Our players always fading away before the opponent is cought on the pick... Maybe it´s due to avoid offensive fouls.

Kanter finished first half with 8,3,2 dude is really fitting in. 18 to 36 halftime... OKC is playing great D and O, Kanter is not hurting them.

People just don't realize how bad it is to have guards that shoot Trey Burke's 37% and Dante Exum's 35%. What makes it even worse is that the last 10 games Trey and Exum have been shooting even worse. 35% for Trey and 21% for Dante.

Elfrid Payton who is a defensive specialist who isn't that good at offense still shoots at 43%.

After emotions settled I can predict in 3 years with high probability this board and Jazz fans overall will be regretting letting Kanter go after he signs a reasonable offer sheet and steadily improves each year and his $13-15Mil per would be a great contract with the new cap.
It's just yet another **** you from the grave by Corbin. I can clearly see how Kanter's actions benefited him and how Lindsey dropped the ball managing assets.
$15M would still be high for Kanter. And Utah simply cannot afford to have 3 bigs eventually take up $50M+ of cap space. Gobert is going to get a max offer and Favors will get a big raise. Add to that Hayward getting $20M. If Kanter had signed for $13-$15M, the Jazz are perhaps at $70M with only 4 players. I know the tax line will be $100M, but how much would we pay a starting SG and PG? Perhaps $10M each? Rest of the roster is then 7 players at minimum salaries.

I would have loved to keep Kanter. But it comes down to keeping Kanter or Gobert once Rudy comes up for his contract. And the Jazz choose defense and potential over offense and what they had already seen from Enes. Jazz certainly could have stretched out the decision one more season and forced Kanter to play for the QO. But why? The trade return would have been about the same - maybe slightly better, perhaps worse. And they'd have an unhappy player on their hands, playing minutes that a future backup big - i.e. one who will be on the team in 2016 and beyond should get. That would be doing the exact same thing with that player that Enes complained about: retarding his development.

That was the first quarter, not the first half lol

Yeah thats right. I just do not think that Favors and Gobert will ever be enough spacing and pace to play, what Quin tries to do long term. We need a stretch 4 like Anderson or Draymong Green. Those guys will get paid, too. With another 4 getting major minutes, it will be hard for Gobert or Favors to produce enough to get into allstar Team.

It was obvious that he would have performed better with an elite point guard.

He finished the 3,5 seasons apprenticeship with the Jazz and now it's time for him to play the real basketball.

I think he will be appreciative of Snyder coaching.

Pity the Jazz wasted a 3rd pick young talent like this.

Damn, Kanter with the steal and full court pass... He looks like a starting center for a contender right now.
