Kanter Vs. Knight

Who do you want the Jazz to Draft at #3

It seems likely that the Utah Jazz will draft either Brandon Knight or Enes Kanter with the Third pick in this years draft. This is Quite the predicament for me considering that I love the Knight, but I would also love to see the Jazz draft the Jimmer at #12 (it is likely that the jazz won't draft two point guards with their two lottery Picks). I must say that i trust KOC. He has a keen and sagacious basketball mind IMO. sure he has not been perfect, but he made the right decision to trade D-will, and draft Hayward! Virtually everyone must agree that he made the right moves there, and those were big moves!! I am not sure i like Kanter at #3. it will be interesting to see what happens come draft night.

I guess the purpose of my posting is to hear who you perfer out of Kanter or Knight at #3. This Thread presupposes that Williams and Irving will be off the board by the 3rd pick.

I would prefer another option, pick kanter at 3, and do whatever is necessary to get knight as well.
But in this case, i would say Kanter, not becuz im an obvious Kanter fan, but he is the better player.

I'm going Kanter, but I will be pretty happy with Knight and would not rake KOC over the coals with the pick. I think both have a chance of being great players in this league, and frankly, I can't read enough into them to know if they'll be busts. I do think that Kanter is the much higher risk/higher reward player, but in a draft like this that is a reasonable choice.

It doesn't matter to me whether it is Knight or Kanter. Maybe we will go off the deep end and pick Valanciunas. I will support whatever player we pick.

Sticking with Vesely. Kanter is second.

what makes vesely so different in europe is his athlethism, and there is redundancy of athlethism in nba, thats why im not sure he will be very succesful in nba

Being a 6'11 SF who can yam like a madman isn't that redundant.

He still is a project with any kind of shot. But I wouldn't be mad with him either.

Vesely is no more than a taller batum. He may be a decent starter if he works hard, but he cant be more than that, its pretty obvious

Part of me is still concerned that Kanter might be slow, be mediocre on defense (like Kevin Love), get fouls and get blocked a lot. Maybe it's just a phase I'm going through. If he'll play hard, he could be like Demarcus Cousins. I just wish we could have seen him play against someone with legit NBA size and skill. There's some risk with this pick. To be honest, if Montiejunas will play hard and rebound he has the talent to be a significantly better player than Kanter.

But I'm not 100% sold on Knight right now either. He could be fantastic, but I'm almost as intrigued by Reggie Jackson and Darius Morris as potential impact players.

If we can't get Derrick Williams, I'd be okay with Vesely as well as Knight or Kanter.

u can watch him more detailed in sepetember, euro basketball championship.
He doesnt have dribbling skills, its a big weakness for a SF if he is gonna be more than a starter

Vesely isn't going to cross anyone with his dribble, but he can take a dribble or two, get into the lane and shoot over everyone. Vesely is going to be tough to guard, especially if he can develop as a mid-range shooter. The thing I like about him is his competitiveness, energy and mental toughness. Those qualities are very underrated.

The Jazz need a real center from somewhere though.

i agree about his good sides, but he cant create too much by his own, he is dependant on a good point guard and the system. He could be very good with nash n phoenix a few yrs ago, or even with jazz with deron. But now i suspect he will fit us very well

I think the Jazz will probably do the right thing, draft Kanter and tell him he needs to average 12 boards a game. The Jazz can get offense from different places. To compete at a high level, they need to ensure that they get important rebounds. Rebounding killed Miami in at least two of those playoff games.

With Favors, Jefferson and Kanter, the Jazz should be able to win the rebounding war all night long.
