Kanter Vs. Knight

Who do you want the Jazz to Draft at #3

I think the Jazz will probably do the right thing, draft Kanter and tell him he needs to average 12 boards a game. The Jazz can get offense from different places. To compete at a high level, they need to ensure that they get important rebounds. Rebounding killed Miami in at least two of those playoff games.

With Favors, Jefferson and Kanter, the Jazz should be able to win the rebounding war all night long.

Kanter certainly appears to be a guy who has a knack for rebounding.

Favors is like a perfect raw silk, if he is fabricated in right way, he can be a very nice velvet, but if not, he will be thrown into garbage.

Favors is better than Kanter already IMO.

as much as i love Favors, i completely disagree, Kanter has too high ball skills as not to be compared to favors and also they r two very different players so i wouldnt compare them. Thats why im emphazising they can complement eachother very well.

I'd say Kanter's offense is better, right now, than Favors' defense. I'd say they're pretty even when it comes to Favors' offense vs. Kanter's defense. I sincerely believe that, right now, Kanter is the better player.

Having said that, I would take Favors over Kanter in two years ... not to say they couldn't share the court .. because that is what I would like to see.

This Kanter love versus Favors is absurd. We are talking about Favors who would be the uncontested 1st overall pick this year in this garbage draft against a guy who has proven little. Do I like Kanter, sure. But he has proven very little. Unless you count an AS game which he scored a lot of points. An AS game.

Put me in the Favors >>> Kanter camp. Kanter hasn't proven anything.
Favors is already a good defender, rebounder and unselfish passer. If Favors develops a mid-range game, he's going to be scary good. Ford already said if Favors were in this draft, there's no question he'd go #1. My gut tells me Knight will be the pick unless Williams is on the board. I think the Jazz would be ok with a Kanter/Jimmer draft. They'd get a solid backup PG behind Harris who could add some scoring to the 2nd unit. But Sacramento might take Jimmer at #7.

With Watson an UFA and Price not a good alternative, the Jazz definitely need a PG. And the same can be said at SF. Greg Miller's comments haven't been flattering of AK and CJ is in an option year. Yes, you take BPA. But if two players are extremely close on your board, then need has to be factored into the equation. If the Jazz address PG at #3, they can then pick amongst a pretty good group of SF's at 12. Knight can be an eventual starter and so can a SF picked at #12. I don't think the same can be said of any guards who would be available at #12.

Maybe it's just a coincidence, but the Jazz are working out forwards on Sunday, most of whom look like they'll go in the 8-18 range.

I understand, really. With me, it's not Kanter 'love', it's simply what I believe. Will I be wrong about him? Maybe. Right? Maybe. Honestly, I don't care .. as I am simply sharing an opinion like EVERYONE else on this board.

i am turkish and the jazz by far my favorite team in NBA . i think enes kanter is really talented BUT i have watched his last game like two years ago, and i think our team needs a SF more than enes so i will be going for brandon knight for the draft 11. it is an epic fail that enes' surname pronounced as "cuunt-er" originally, that's the truth.(really it is like that, don't care his speeches saying "can't-er" he wants his surname to be suitable for English) and for jan vesely, i think that vesely will DEFINITELY be a bust in this draft. i have watched him closely playin for partizan and i can say that he is really similar to Zarko Çabarkapa... i know that most of you don't remember him. he is not used to the physical game and he hasn't got any "proffesion" in his game, but he is so ambitious and determined. so utah should give Knight the priority but enes is a real talent as well but jazz should NOT select jan vesely.

I voted Knight, but mainly because I have seen him play and he looks like he will be very good. The Jazz are one of the few groups of people who have seen Kantor play, and if they feel he is the answer, I will be happy. I just don't want a Euro at three. No Jan, Bismack, Valeywhatever, etc. At 12 I don't care. But not at three.
