Kanter

2 rebounds in the last 30 minutes of play for him.

Is he hitting a rookie wall? Could he be injured? To me, he was the most consistent guy all year, always grabbing boards in the limited time he received and over the last three games, he's been MIA. I gotta think that 40 games in a condensed schedule after playing no games last year may be a physical shock to him but just wanted to see if anyone had other thoughts or inside info here.

Thanks for the post. I've missed the past two games, haven't spoken with Enes (or anyone close to him), but have been wondering the same thing.

I think he is frustrated with how few minutes he is getting. He is looking over his shoulder.
That's the feeling I get as well. He seems to be playing like he was at the first of the season, when he seemed tense and lost when he was in the game.

Coach Corbin don't like Kanter it's obvious!
Kanter will be a double double machine after his third year, but not in jazz uniform.

Lack of athletic ability can hurt ya in the nba. Need to make up with it with your head and play smart. Honestly never thought much of kanter.. Past 10 years jazz have had 2 good draft picks.Dwill and alex burks. The rest have been bench type players and when you select in lottery you need to get starter talent

2 problems:

1) Is he conditioned properly for a regular NBA season, and then a lockout season?
2) Is he getting enough time that he can actually go out there and actually play?

Who is Alex Burks?

I think he has hit a wall.

Media has mentioned he looks gassed often. I have a feeling not playing for 2 years, the lockout, and the rookie wall are all taking it's toll on Kanter.

Would anyone trade Kanter and whatever Jazz highest lottery pick this year for #1 pick?
Would team with the #1 pick take this offer?
Not sure I would, but just curious.

You couldn't get Davis short of trading a superstar for him, and we have none.

I've noticed he's kind of gone MIA. He looks really frustrated and lost at times. I think he's probably tired and frustrated.

Probably a combination of a few things, fatigue, scouting, opportunity and luck. I've noticed teams are making mroe of a concerted effort to box him out in the Sac/Den/Atl games and he also hasn't had as many opportunities to score and rebound as his minutes have dropped even more the past 3 games, and I also think he ended up in Ty's doghouse against Denver when he stepped out of bounds on a post-up in the 2nd-qtr. Even though the game was a blowout, he didn't get back in until the final minutes, even leapfrogged by Evans.

The more reps Kanter gets, the more comfortable he gets scoring around the basket so hopefully his minutes will pick back up as our starters will definitely be feeling the minutes after tonight.

The Jazz must find time for him next season. Kanter and Favors are going to be a good one two punch. At this point in time I think these two together can play some serious D. If Kanter can get an offensive game, along with Favors working on his our front line is going to be stout. I know this wasn't the question but Favors needs more time! While I'm at it, Miles needs less. Burks needs more. Cut/amnesty Bell.

There are times I wonder if a D-League stint would do Kanter any good. His biggest weakness is his lack of BBall IQ/Awareness due to not playing in so long. Seems like extended time in the Dleague may actually help him.

Agreed. Why not send him to the D-League. The guy isn't getting enough time up here. Maybe the orginization likes the way Big Al is working with him which is stopping them from doing this. I have seen Al-esque moves from both him and Favors.
