Kanter

Is Jazzfanz Lamar Odom's agent?

You don't send a third pick with 15/15+ potential to the d-league. Period.

Kanter is slow as Andrew Bogut and his type is prone to go through these periods. It's only been a few games. Oh, and he's 19.

Lol. What was it, like a week ago that Kanter had a breakout game against the Lakers in LA, and now people are suggesting D-league? Let's just pretend that didn't happen. This team is building some nice chemistry, and even if he's only getting 10 MPG, he needs to stay with team and keep adding to the progress he's made so far. IMO, Ty really needs to do a better job getting him more minutes on nights when he's playing well.

There are times I wonder if a D-League stint would do Kanter any good. His biggest weakness is his lack of BBall IQ/Awareness due to not playing in so long. Seems like extended time in the Dleague may actually help him.

There are times I wonder whether or not you have a brain.

He's alright. Kanter is a project and always was. It might take him all next year too to be ready for full time. For someone that was against him as a prospect I've seen enough to be patient with him. JMO but I don't think anything is wrong with him and haven't seen any evidence that there is some kind of schism with the coaches. He's just young and raw. The NBA is a tough league.

2 rebounds in the last 30 minutes of play for him.

Is he hitting a rookie wall? Could he be injured? To me, he was the most consistent guy all year, always grabbing boards in the limited time he received and over the last three games, he's been MIA. I gotta think that 40 games in a condensed schedule after playing no games last year may be a physical shock to him but just wanted to see if anyone had other thoughts or inside info here.

If coach can not find you more than 10 min in a game with 4 overtime, that just means " i do not trust you". And Kanter is not silly either. He understands the situation and feels it. The struggle period is sure due to all facts as not being able to play for 2 years, rookie wall etc but most important the motivation and the trustment on yourself and the trustment of the organization on you.

So how will Corbin motivate Kanter when Al is in foul trouble or injured? He can not play in 4 overtimed match. It is not just funny but also tragic. And last L.A. match is not just coincidence for Kanter. The minutes, the passes he got and motivation level all came along. The sophomore season is critical for Kanter more than all rookies in the league. Bismack, Tristan, Vucevic all have enough experiments and tolerance of their coaches right now except Kanter. If the same issues go on for him, welcome to new Koufos.

True that. Jazz have a team chem. that's hard to be seen in many other teams in the league. Better not move any brick right now. See the way things work themselves out.

Nothing happened to Kanter, he is just human...
The guy is a young player with less experience than expected - he still doesn't know what it's like to play through a whole season, not to mentioned a short one.
He needs time not only to develop his on court skills but also his off court habits and his mental health. Also keep in mind he is still adjusting to a new environment.

He'll be fine in a year or two. Do you think you could have performed better when you were 19 years old in a foreign country?

This guy is a 3rd pick , the team better put some effort into teaching this guy how to play and giving him experience or they are going to be throwing away 10s of millions of dollars.

This.
Kanter will progress better playing 10 minutes with the Jazz in the NBA instead of 30 minutes in the D-league.

He played huge against the Lakers which should have been a sign of things to come. I was at that game. I unfortunately didn't see the past couple games. I hope it is just a off couple nights.

if he can not even play against Nets, next year will not be stepping year for him either. I do not understand why some guys do not mention coach's name about Kanter's struggling. 6 mins in 1st half against Nets while Big Al and Millsap damn tired? Yea just keep up hoping he will improve immediately.

I think not being able to stay on the court regardless of how well he plays is a factor.

How many veterans in 10 minutes do almost nothing on the court? All of them, regardless of whatever they do outside of that span. But when Kanter doesn't come in and immediately crush skulls and take everyone's rebounds, Corbin yanks him. It's pretty ridiculous.
