Kanter's Game Last Night

Kanter vs Al 3rd season, per36.

Kanter
PPG: 17.2 (tie)
RPG: 9.0
APG: 1.2
SPG: 0.9
BPG: 1.1
TS%: .538
PER: 16.1

Jefferson:
PPG: 17.2 (tie)
RPG: 11.7
APG: 1.4
SPG: 0.7
BPG: 1.6
TS%: .547
PER: 19.8

Jefferson has the edge, but it's close. I don't know if Al was a better defender or not at that age, Boston was terrible with him that year (24-58).

If you are not Enes Kanter he loathes you.

I hate people who "gang up" like pus****, that's different.

Anyway, everyone is free to share his viewpoints and root for his favourite player as long as there is respect.

Concerning Kanter, you hate him regardless, even when he plays well. I don't know, maybe you fear that Favors could be overshadowed? I have always said that they have to play together because they are complementary.
I hope every Jazz players to be successful...I'm not sure you hope the same.

It is evident that you are here mainly for trolling and insulting just being biased. In little words, you are a real vermin!

but his D, u know...

He is not the valuable player he is supposed to be in my eyes if he acts lazily on defense for the remaining part of his career. I have no doubt he will be a great offensive force for any team. In Media Day, Locke threw Kevin Love example to Kanter and Gordon said "you have a lot of work to do". I think Enes can become a player putting up the same stat lines as Love. But defense is hustle. And hustle gets you respect. If you want to be a complete player, you have to play the best defense you can. For me, Enes looks like he is not trying. I hate players who think their offense is good enough to set them valuable so no need to kill energy on defense. I hope Enes does not become one.

Name a scoring big that plays great D? It is usually a trade off. Plus, wasn't this the year of development. He hasn't played big minutes yet.

Yes i saw that too and i thought that was a dick move by Gordon because this comparison came from Locke and Kanter only responsed with a "cool" and a smile. Luckily kharma is a bitch. Isn't it funny, now Gordon has to do "a lot work" to legitimate his demand to get a bigger contract than Favors.

Karma is a bitch indeed, but this franchise's mentality is bitcher. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him a ridiculous contract after this season.

I am not here to dispute the proposition that EK is still a work in progress.
He has some rough edges to smooth and needs to play "better" D than he is currently playing.

That said, he is not curently in a team where there is order and a game plan.
so I am against the idea that EK should be singled out for his deficiencies whereas there are players SUCKING worse.
Marv and Hayward are two cogent examples of this.
I stick to my original claim that Kanter is the player in current Jazz roster with the highest ceiling.
He is coming along well and learning and I must add that he will only be 22 years old in May!

Agreed. I would add Trey and Alec near him. I don't think Favors has enough high of a ceiling as those to put near em, but as a player and personality I like Favors the most. Gordon can be great but he needs to become automatic and develop a post fadeaway that destroys his matchup.

an off season with mark eaton will help enes.

he can score bucketzz but he can't defend.

Mark eaton could defend.

Wish it would be so easy. But i doubt that because Mark Eaton had size/length he was about 7'4. Kanters problems are he has no elite size/length or athleticism. Marc Gasol or Roy Hibbert arent athletic too but they have size/length. Andre Drummond has the same size/length like Kanter but he is a gifted athlete. It will be a long way to go for Enes. The other question would be how can you change a offensiv minded player or how much can he improve at the defense. The only player in my mind who has similar (worse in fact) properties is Anderson Varejao but this guy was always a defensiv minded player.

The other solution could be to analyse the other systems of the franchise. The Pacers are great at the defensive end despite a David West like the Bulls with Boozer...

berat kardeş

you know that andre drummond is terrible defensively, he might be the most atlhetic guy on the court but he only tries to block shots, he doesn't even move on the court, or show hustle aside from fake blocks.

maybe a guy like joakim noah help him.

dunno.
