I'd like to watch Favors more than him too, and I think Favors' personality is more fit to lead the team to a bunch of wins. He just needs to grow a shot and it's done by practicing, nothing else. If Favors does that, it will be easier for Kanter to score and relax because Kanter is really low bb IQ on pressured situations, double teams, fast cuts and screens and defensive match-up switches etc. He needs experience to digest the fundamentals and apply them out of reflexes.
And after Favors grows a soft touch, if Trey or someone else steps up for the team to organize, orchestrate, then the performance of the team might chance dramatically.

I don't want to see the Jazz's success depending on a single drafted player, even though it will probably come out to be an amazing one. But let's not forget that in order for that superstar potential guy to want to be a franchise player, the Jazz roster needs to play hard and show that they will do anything for winning. I understand the roster is inexperienced and not ready for a winning attitude/culture or didn't yet constructed a desire, but they should at least grab their balls and place them back between their legs when that so-called superstar arrives.

So long story short, we need a new coach.
 
You all forget how he played 0 basketball for 6 months, hardly played last year, didn't play in college, and started playing a lot later than most kids.

^ With all of yhat considered, I think he is performing just fine. Give the dude some time to grow and develop into his role/ learn by trial and error. It's not like we are trying to make the playoffs this year. Anyways, Kanter has already shown many moments of brilliance thus far. When he shakes the rust off for good, you're going to look really stupid.
 
So favors had a good game last night , I am happy for him. Where was he for most of this season so far? Favors has taken many plays off, even sulked in Boston. From a PER standpoint Kanter is still more efficient than Favors. Are either perfect? No. They both need to grow.

But...

Anyways, we shouldn't be choosing Kanter or Favors like they are opponents. They are teammates. We should Root (TM) for them to play well together and compliment eachother's games, as well as the team's as a whole. In Chicago Boozer can't defend, and Noah can't score efficiently, but they're still a formiddable frontcourt. Kanter and Favors are in that stage of learning to hide eachother's flaws and enhance their strengths.


For all the talk of what the young guys are doing wrong, I don't see them as the reason we are losing ball games. We are losing because we've been constructed to lose, and that's a good thung. For the most part, Hayward, Kanter, and Favors are playing well, and sometimes even exceeding expectations, they just have no one else to help yhem. All of our so called rotation players besides Marvin weren't even in NBA rotations last year. Are two point gaurds were bith left for dead until we signed them. Don't freak out on Hayward, Kanter and Favors because we are losing, they are experiencing baptism by fire and are carrying a lot of dead weight (which should make them really strong when we actually build a team for them).
