Greg--We are fortunate to have Karl as a resource, we understand that he has other obligations. We'll see how it works. Right now he will come in on a periodic basis and work with the bigs.
Randy Rigby--Has witnessed Karl and Derek work out, it was fascinating. Karl did a masterful job working with Favors.
Greg--I had high expectations for Karl at the first workout, but Karl exceeded it in his prepartation and his approach with Derek.

Well obviously Hornacek didn't see this coming, he was interviewed saying he'll be calling Karl re: assistant position with PHX.

I thought that was said in jest. Wasn't his next sentence...'karl would last about two weeks and then would want to go fishing'???
And this isn't a knee jerk today....maybe the announcement was.......Karl has already worked with Derek, sounded like last week.
Other ramifications: Al and Milsap aren't coming back are they. I think Randy/Greg subtley said that this year is going to be a tanking season to get a high draft pick.
This! I'm plenty excited to have Karl on board (whatever that actually means), but this. Totally set up.

Yeah good point. I think the fact that they're getting serious with Karl - I don't think they're bringing back Al ... I still think there is a chance they bring in Sap if he's happy with playing as the 3rd big.
But yeah looks like it's all go with the youth movement now the way things are going.
