Karl Malone Interview

It's not that he can't communicative, it's the manner in which he does. Malone alienates people because he pulls no punches. He's like Charles except he's even more blunt.

Right, and when he's simply dead wrong about something he can't manage to see other perspectives, thus causing problems and so forth.

He would bring the one thing the Jazz definitely lost in the last two weeks; character. Take that as a joke or as a serious comment, it applies either way.

He knows how he is and how people view him, which is why he said "let's give it a shot, if it doesn't work, then we're fine." And I believe him. I think he's grown as much being away from basketball as when he was playing. His rough-around-the-edges honesty I think could be huge for team chemistry, especially since he can be fun or a hell of a bad cop.

Im going to go out there by saying i have a massive, unconditional man-crush on Karl Malone.

Quotes I liked from the past few interviews.

"I'm not going to bring the team a dozen roses and some doughnuts"

"The rabbit got the gun"

I really like the idea of adding Malone- but only as an assistant coach. I think Corbin deserves to be the coach of this team and will prove that over time. I'm very interested in adding Karl because he has a geniune love for the Utah Jazz and considers "the Jazz way" of work ethic and taking pride in your performance a sacred thing.

If I was Greg Miller, I'd talk Corbin into using him as a 4th assistant and I'd also pay Malone extra to take Jefferson, Millsap, and Favors down to Louisiana and condition them over a portion of each summer. If Favors ever adopted anything close to Malone's workout routine, we'd seriously have our work horse for the next 12-15 years.
