I especially enjoyed the multiple times he called the Blazers the Pacers. Or when he insisted Evans got a block that Favors got.
 
He gave the wrong guy credit for a shot once too, and it wasn't a hard one, wide open shot. He's not terrible, but he's still the backup.
 
I think he has spent too much time around Bolerhack. Steve used to be pretty straight forward in his commentary, fairly clear and mostly got it right. Following Boler he has gotten stuck on catch phrases and seems to be watching a different game. It is the Curse of the Bolerhack, and it will destroy us all!!
 
i think we need some new blood on the second team. brown and boone are painful to listen to at times.
 
I think all of the Jazz announcers must be trying to be terrible on purpose. They want to make us appreciate how good Hot Rod was.
 
People can whine all they want but having lived in 6 NBA cities, we have it pretty good with our announcers. Boler and Matty are better than most I have listened to and Steve is fine. DL is getting better at announcing and his bball analysis is as good as any radio guy I have heard. It can be a lot worse folks.

It could also be a lot better. I really don't care how bad the other team's announcers are. In fact, I'm happy that they're bad. They are for the other teams fans to listen to. Those fans should have to suffer through terrible announcing because they chose to be fans of the wrong team.

Well, I've lived in as many NBA cities, and I disagree with you. So there.

Boler is well below average. Matty has been tainted by him. I thought Boone was fine in his prime. Steve Brown is just shameful.
 
Brownie might be a little hard on the ears every now and again but he has solid bball insight and actually understands what's happening. Boler might be great w football but he's lacking a lot at bball.

I like the whole staff overall though. Harping has been great this season.
 
I have a horrible feeling Locke is being groomed to take over the play by play duties.

Can you imagine putting Harpring's teasing style with Locke's combative attitude? This all equates to a ton of jazz fans watching games with the sound muted.

So envoy it now, because it's only going to get worse.
 
Steve Brown is more embarrassing to the Jazz franchise than that third quarter yesterday. It's not just that he gets stuff wrong. It's as if he's watching a totally different game in a world peopled by cartoons whose motives only he can interpret through his mastery of the English language. That's when he gets into trouble. He gets so proud of his next sentence that he has to commit to its truth before he even realizes what nonsense it contains. It causes him to say wrong stuff, sure, but it also leads to all sorts of unintentionally erotic statements about the players and inappropriate comments about Harpring's wife.

I particulary love it when he scolds the Utah Jazz for not all going for an offensive rebound, then turns to Boone or Harpring for help, and they have to wearily explain to him for like the thousandth time: Steve, not everyone on a team should be under the other team's basket. You gotta keep guys back to defend.

He's a disaster.

Edit (because I was being a little negative): I do agree that Harpring has been good this season. Hopefully the Jazz can find a first-rate play-by-play guy to pair with him.

Omg. If Locke ends up do play by play on my tv, Im gonna be pist. It better not happen
 
Are there rumors that Bolerhack is moving on? Or are we starting said rumors right here? Heh heh.
