Kendall Marshall Anyone?

Can pass.
Can't shoot.

Don't the jazz already have three pgs that do that?
Why do you and lazyd think he can't shoot?

He can't drive. Last year, he shot 40% from 3 on four attempts a game.

His 3pt % was 2% better than Trey's fg%.

He also had a 44.3 AST% (that is elite), and an equally impressive 25.6 tov% <-- LOL!

Seriously though, he is a specialist who fills needs we have. Why would you pass on a cheap contract for your 3rd string PG? You know he's better than JLIII and Clark (pg wise).

He cannot shoot and this would be obvious if you ever watched him play.

He can't shoot or play defense. He's awesome at passing.

He is a terrible shooter.

Not a good shooter.

He's bad at shooting.

Please watch players to evaluate their game.

This post is just obnoxious.

He has no mid range game, for sure. But he is a good, old man style, set shooter from 3. Trust me, I have seen him play plenty of times.

Honestly, I resent your ******** assumption that I don't watch the players I speak about. I just use stats to further investigate what my eyes have told me. He shot 40% from 3 last year on 4 attempts per, and that's a fact. He's not a starting caliber PG, or some marksman from all over the floor. He is a specialist who specializes in three traits we covet: passing, 3 ball, and pace (D'antoni's system is one of the fastest). Getting three specialties from your third string PG is great value.

He makes good decisions, and when people give him ten feet of space, and he has ten seconds to shoot the ball, he'll let it fly, because that's a good shot.

In summary, Marshall is not a good shooter, and would have absolutely zero interest in coming to Utah to be a 3rd string PG. He's going to look for minutes.

But mostly, he's not a good shooter.

You are right that he probably has zero interest in us given the rotation. Most players think they're the tier above what they really are. But, if it comes down to 3rd string or Dleague, pride gets swallowed real quick.

He probably gets picked up to play a tier above his skills, cause that's free agency this year, but if he doesn't...

Not happening. Clark will be the third string 1&2. Book it. The only other player they sign is a veteran wing. My money is on Francisco Garcia.

Yeah maybe JLIII can now get a real shot at Francisco Garcia rather than throwing punches in the air.

He is a casualty of the Boozer deal and the Lakers waived him despite him being second in the league in assists last year to Chris Paul. I'm sensing the guy's got a bit of a tude particularly when Horney waived him last year and the Lakers are just awash in talent.

This would mean that the Jazz would have to make a "wise decision". Not really apart of what we do here in Utah.

As a young, former lottery pick, who has been a starter and is on a 1 year minimum contract I would pick him up off waivers. Better than JLIII and best 3 rd pg we could get

I'd even start him if we haven't drafted Exum. I'd still make him the second PG and wouldn't hesitate to start him over Burke if he out-performs Burke.

Btw, selective or not, the guy is a very effective three point shooter with decent shooting volume. I wouldn't say he cannot shoot. And yes I watched him.

I don't agree that he can't drive too, yes he's not athletic one bit and he is not a finisher but he is a very smart driver, he always drives in control and and usually finds the best thing to do.

YES!!! Although he might want to go elsewhere given that he feels spurned by the Jazz when they signed Garrett instead of him. If they pick him off waivers, they have no choice though

Marshall will go where he can get playing time. The jazz don't have the time he will want.

I can see him going to the Bucks as they still need a PG.

I didn't realize he was on waivers. But I predicted it correctly. Bucks picked him up.

ESPN sources say Bucks will be clamining Kendall Marshall off waivers as soon as possible, foiling Lakers' plans of re-signing @KButter5

Lazy being kind of dumb.

Marshall can shoot it. He isn't a floor spreader, but if you leave him open, he can knock them down for sure.

Marshall is not a good shooter. Has he improved? Sure. He's proven that if there is nobody within 10 feet of him and not closing out he can make the shot. This does not make him a good shooter or someone who specializes in 3-pointers. Not to mention he would never have that kind of space on offense unless the Jazz offense is quite improved. I'm not saying he's bad and wouldn't make the team better, I'm saying he's not a good shooter.

I think the Jazz are looking for some muscle for their guards. Got a lot of ******* right now.
