Kendall Marshall in 2012

Been watching a lot of game film on Marshall and this guy is the perfect fit for the jazz. The way he runs the half court set reminds me of Stockton. He seems to have eyes in the back of his head but with the roster looking the way it does now a pass first point guard is just what we need.

I know he is not a great shooter but his shot doesn't look broken. He is also not tremendously athletic but he is so smart it makes up for that. I honestly can see him at the helm of a championship team.

Then if the jazz take the best sf with the other pick (yes I am assuming 2 picks) then the jazz will look very good and have some serious young talent to either develop or trade for chips.

I watched hima little and he did conduct himself like a good leader. I liked his body language. As far as his play, I can't really comment intelligently.

I'd take him if we end up having a pick outside of the lottery and the top 2 PG's are gone.

Kendall marshall is a bottom of the first round player. He is jordan farmer. We dont need a player like that. I think we go with harris for a few years and hope that we are so terrible we have a shot at shabazz muhammad a couple years from now. Seen this kid tons and he is the real deal. Probably the best prospect to come out since 2003. He will be a sr. Next year.

Shabazz is a 2G. I'd take him no matter what position he plays though.

Well, if he is that good he will be the #1 overall pick. By the 2013 draft we should no longer be a lottery team, or at least not a lottery team with a chance to get the #1 overall.

Kendall Marshall may indeed be projected as late first/early second by draft sites, and he may indeed be surrounded by major talent, and he may not be jumping out of the gym, but, man, when I watched him play last season, the freshman totally dominated on offense by setting up his teammates. Is elite passing considered an NBA skill?

I think the Jordan Farmer comparision is way off. he is a much better pure point guard. But agree not a lottery pick from the many games I saw last year. I would compare him to a very lite Jason Kidd.

Very lite, like what an ounce? ok I follow....

I've been saying Kendall Marshall on this board since before the ACC tournament. He's big, he's a lefty, and as soon as he took over the starting PG duties at UNC, they became a better TEAM. Harrison Barnes starting playing like he was supposed to, as the offense was more in control and the ball was being distributed. While I like Brandon Knight and wish he would have slipped to 12 for the Jazz, Kendall has the potential to be the bigger and better fit for Utah. His stock will rise and he will be a top 15 pick. I'd compare him closest to Deron Williams, as he is 6'3"/180. I don't think he has Deron's ballhandling, speed, or shooting yet, but he'll improve now that he'll be the full-time starter next NCAA season.
