The Western conference playoff picture will be decided by injury (much like it was last season).

Lebron has to play 75 games this season for the Lakers to make the playoffs, and even then I dont know if they will. He cant rest during the regular season as much as he did in the East. Even the trash teams in the West are more talented than the East's trash teams.

The Lakers weren't bad last year. They'll make it, unless Lebron is injured or some ****.

But, I guess time will tell.

They also werent good.

For the most part Lebron is health reliable, but he will have to push himself harder this regular season than he has had to in a while.
 
Seriously, there is GSW, Houston, Jazz and OKC in top 4, then 5-12 can end up anyway and we have Suns, Kings and Grizzlies at the bottom.

I think they will be 7-8 seed depending where GSW is finishing. LeBron will make sure they are not meeting GSW in first round.
 
This is pretty stellar but I'm not surprised. I agree with Cy, the West will be dictated by health. I think if we stay relatively healthy, we're the #2 team. Houston essentially swapping Ariza for Melo is not an upgrade. Pretty freaking crazy, Top 2 in the West = bona fide top 3 team in the league.

The ******-ness of the East will reach an all-time high this year.

I think LeBron is way overdue a major injury. 45000 minutes played in his career and never missed more than 10 games due to injury in a season. I don't care how much HGH he's taking, that can't go on forever.

And yes, this ain't the East. LeBron's Cavs were .500 against the West this year. They were .673 against the East. If the Cavs were playing out West, they might have missed the playoffs at those rates.

(30*0.673)+(52*0.5) = 46 wins. Just out of the playoffs.
