holy ****
holy ****
Un ****ing believable.
Wish Utah had made this gamble. Kings owner should be forced to sell team to someone competent.
They should have traded him a while ago, but at least they didnt lose him for nothing. Cousins is going to be one of those guys simply getting rid of him will improve their franchise.
I actually love this trade. New Orleans gets two super-stars and the Kings get out of a relationship that was obviously never going to work. They sold low as ****, but they get picks and I guess Hield could still turn into a solid player. The important part is they dont have Cousins and can move on.
Improve their franchise? This is them throwing in the towel.. They've got a multi-year tank planned thats whats gonna improve the franchise... will probably wait around for Bagley and Scottie Lewis..
Jumpstarting the youthmovement is what this is.
Rumours are they could have traded him last year for D'Angello Russell and the pick that led to Brandon Ingram.
Kings lost all that for 6 more months of Cousins on the roster.
Do the Kings also keep their pick now that they'll be in the lottery?

If they can lose a lot of games, it has to be in the top 10 for them to keep it. Wouldn't be surprised if that is a struggle. Wouldn't be surprised if they are a more consistent team without him.

The Lakers shot down a Cousins deal including Ingram apparently..
