Kings Trade Cousins to the Pelicans

Man, listening to the latest Vertical podcast, the rumors surrounding how the Kings operate are insane.

Adrian Wojnarowski on DeMarcus Cousins trade: Once (the Kings front office) they got Vivek on board, they didn’t want him to change his mind again. That was part of the reason they rushed on Sunday to get the deal done. – via The Vertical

I guess that makes sense why they rushed the deal and refused to listen to more offers. I am positive they could have driven up the price closer to the deadline or at least letting other teams put in offers and get a bidding war going.

My God I didn't think they would look this scary together...

I post, therefore I am.

27 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals and 4 blocks

Those were his stats for his 1st game as a Pelican.

Clearly the reason they lost.

Maybe, if as a team their pps are way down with him on the team or something else.

Chamberlain lost a decent amount and he was a freak of nature on his teams.

I see your point, but it's not completely true.

It's probably somewhere between not his fault, and his fault. It could be the changed chemistry from having a new starter and 2 dominant bigs now. Completely changes the team and approach and style and all that.

1-4 when he plays, the only win vs a team not even trying anymore.

Having a bad attitude player on your team takes away from the on court attitude of other players. He got his stats and they lost. Just like in Sacramento. Funny thing is they won the night I posted this. And they pulled away after he fouled out.

DeMarcus Cancer proving a leopard doesn't change it's spots. How long till NOLA wake up with buyers remorse ??

They traded away Buddy Hield and a protected 1st rounder. It was worth the risk, they shouldn't have remorse. It can definitely work, they just have to get better players around them.
