Kirelenko in Trade talks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The problem is the JAZZ want tax relief. That was part of the whole basis for the trade, which now seems dead.
The way I see it is the Jazz are high on Hayward and like what they see out of Evans (AK-lite). And CJ was going to be a starter last season before he got hurt. Then there's Raja. Plug in the minutes; you can fill the 2/3 without having AK.

We might be able to get more for AK IF the Jazz were willing to take back $17M in longer-term salaries. But they aren't. Miller wants to reduce his tax hit or get under entirely, just as he did last season with the two trades. I don't fault him for that. The Millers are wealthy, but certannly not on the level of Paul Allen, Dr. Buss, Prokhorov etc.

Love this post. I actually would like to see Miles and Hayward get more minutes. And Evans in blow out games or foul trouble games.

If we could trade AK for a back up SG and a back up PF who are also expiring or one of them that would be ideal. But I like AK and he could help us win this year. Just hope we let him go after this year.

Not having the ball on offense doesn't mean he can't defend on the other end. Andrei himself said that when he doesn't get "touches" he doesn't play as hard defensively. That's a %*%%^$* attitude from a guy getting MAX money. This season will be no different. Jefferson and Millsap are both more efficient and better options on offense. AK will again be the 4th - or even 5th - option and will start complainign about his role after a couple of weeks.

AK has never said that he doesn't play well defensively when he doesn't get touches.
You can say that's bad attitude for someone getting MAX money, but what would Deron Williams say if they took the ball from him and said your shooting guard now. (Yes, I know he's been shooting guard before in the Fisher days)
He would be pissed off, because he wants to run the offense.
Kirilenko is there to bring energy, and playmaking that nobody of his size can bring.
Not even Kevin Durrant (who is about the same size) can pull off the kind of passing and playmaking that this guy can!

All you guys that don't agree with the kind of attribute AK is, have obviously never been involved in basketball.
He is one of the best in the world at what he does, and if you can't see that, your nuts!

From Yahoo! Sports:

New Jersey and Denver were moving from including Utah’s Andrei Kirilenko and Charlotte’s Boris Diaw in the trade packages, front-office sources said, and trying to find trade partners in both the Eastern and Western conferences . Denver and New Jersey were trying to line up new scenarios that still would result with Anthony in New Jersey and Derrick Favors and Nets draft picks in Denver, sources said.
