Kirilenko : October MVP Euroleague

Links on this one are few and far between on either side at this point. Here is one that points to the Jazz trying to work with AK:

Another more along the lines of commentary:

Sorry but second article is full of BS.... here for example they say: "Kirilenko has hardly looked like a max deal player in the past two seasons in Utah". Article written in 2007 June.
Nobody argues about 2007 season... but 2006?: 15.3pts, 8reb, 4.3ast, 1.5ast, 3.2 blks and was elected to All NBA defensive team? What kind of crap this author is smoking?

Interesting commentary from AK from that season (2007):

On his strong points: "I make the opponents pick up fouls, I assist the partners. And I hit open shots. I think I am creative in attacks, I can involve my teammates. There is a range of situations in which I can be useful. Yet I've not had a single chance throughout the season."

Hit open shots? Really?

On point guard Deron Williams: "Basketball is business. Williams needs points since his contract obliges him to score. However, it is ridiculous that it can make him totally ignore some other player in the team. I don't think the players are somehow responsible for the situation. The problem is I can't get my message to the coach and that's make things worse for the whole team."

D Will averaged 9.3 assists per game, like 3rd in the NBA. He dished like almost no one else. Maybe AK wasn't getting the passes because D Will did not trust what he would do with it. I highly doubt Deron would have sacrificed his stats to personally snub AK all season long. You start to see his self-centered thought process.

On the Jazz: "I don't want anything for myself, I want Utah to win and that's it. Personal titles are all very good but the achievements of the team are the goal No.1 for me. I want people around me to be happy."

Really (again)? After other rants about not being able to play in a system, about not being allowed to do what he wanted to do on the court, this is his claim? Don't see it.

What is funny about your comment is that the second article is actually somewhat less critical of AK than the first.

Same ol' same ol' people against AK take whatever and twist it to their perceptions and what they want to believe and the people for AK do the same nothing will ever change either side.

Agreed. AK's severe drop in performance, and crying on the sidelines, will never change. It happened. It is part of the record books. It can't be changed now.

Logograd, I'm sick of your one-sided biased b.s. comments about AK.

I pointed it out when it was happening that AK was getting frozen out by DWill. I can remember AK posting up against PGs like Luke Ridnour and not getting the ball and this happened multiple times. But I was attacked by all the DWill lovers for saying what to me was very obvious but what these people were blind to because of their DWill worship. But now that we have a clearer picture of who DWill is, I think it all falls into place, just as I had said. He wanted to be the man, and AK was in his way. But since the ball was in his hands, he had the obvious advantage.

The thing that really P'Od me was that Jerry just sat there and let it happen, to the detriment of the team -- this was probably one of his biggest mistakes as a coach. And what do you know, he loosened the reins so much with DWill that even Jerry couldn't control him and it led to his retirement.

I do not think anybody argues about that. It happened, it is history. The argument though is who is to blame for it. And thats where people see different reasons ( AK? Sloan? DWill? Boozer? World of Warcraft? Masha? ). Who is right and who is wrong? That is endless debate as opinions are as a..holes, everybody has one.

Ouch. Hate to see that.
