Kobe Bryant vs. Raja Bell

I disagree. It looks to me like Kobe jumps up and sticks his left arm in front of Miller and pulls Miller's left arm down and into his own face as Miller flies by. It's most obvious when viewed from the camera above the backboard.

Sounds like you're lookin at the wrong play there, Marcus.

Don't know if this has been posted before, but there's about a 7 minute video at this site where Raja talks about Utah and it's fans, Sloan, Deron, Kobe, his role on the team, etc. Good interview, I thought.

Some of his comments on Sloan: " Playin for Jerry, one of the fiercest competitors in NBA history, is a dream come true for a guy like me, because I've always had to be a competitor to make my way in this league and to stick around. So knowing that a guy respects that and played that way makes it that much more enjoyable to play for him.

He's also one of the straightest shooters I've ever met. So I know that if I'm not playin for a few games or I'm not doin something well I can go to him and say: "Coach, just tell me what it is, and I'll work on it," and he'll level with me. As a player, that's all you can ask for and I was really excited to get a chance to play for him again. I've always made sure I went up to say "hello" to him and really thanked him every time I saw him as an opposing player."

On his role on the Jazz: "Ya know, I think my role on teams is always about the same: My role is to go out there and, first and foremost, pick out a player on the other team and do my best on him every night. Try and lock him down, fight tooth and nail on every possession, do my best to keep him to a lower field goal percentage, off the free throw line, whatever it is that night, to try to achieve that. So that's where it starts. On the offensive end it's to space the floor, make sure I'm ready to shoot when I'm open, make sure that I'm executing plays, and be a person Coach can count on to do the right thing every time on offense."

On Deron: Playin with an elite-level point guard like that, it's any shooter's--any big man's, for that matter--it's anyone's dream, because you're just gunna get so many more quality looks.

Sounds like he's gunna fit right back in very well, eh!?

This is the Kobe vs Mike Miller.

...clearly the ref blew that call....as it should have been on Miller as a flagrant 1! But Miller was smart! He got away with that elbow because as he was driving to the basket...he made it look like Kobe was the one reaching in, when in fact, it was Miller who camouflaged that elbow to the face so well, the ref called it the other way!

CJ, I think both you and Marcus are addressing your comments prematurely. There are TWO plays in which fouls are called in the video. On the first play MILLER, not Kobe, is called for a foul (not a flagrant) the way I hear it. On the second play Kobe is called for a flagrant foul against Miller.
