Kobe possible Achilles tear!

To me Kobe is a guy who has his beautiful wife at home taking care of his kids while he's not taking no for an answer with the hotel maid.

Great guy? Not so much. I think Kobe is scum and death it too good for him.

Count me as someone who will not miss him and who has no respect for Kobe in any way.

Are you saying you wish he would die because he cheats on his wife? Man you are gonna hate a lot of NBA players. Are you a Karl Malone fan?

By his own account of what happened I'm condemning him for forcing a woman to have sex with him.

The cheating on his wife thing in Colorado happened much longer than 6 years ago. We are in 2013. It happened in 03. Thus dooming the 03-04 season when Malone and Payton wore the purple and gold.

How much longer must we talk about this?

And if you folks think that Kobe is the only person cheating, ummmm you know nothing about pro sports. And yes, that includes several jazz players. And if you want to talk about kinky stuff, google Karl Malone.

And the fruit shall open their eyes...

It's not about cheating, although that absolutely is a factor. By Kobe's detailed description of what happened I feel he reaped that girl.

Yeh, I'll judge a guy for raping even 10 years later. That's who Kobe is to me, a rapist.

I don't care how common adultery is. That has nothing to do with whether it is right or wrong.

Sorry, I'm soiling everyones love fest for Kobe. I'll step away, I see he's bending one of you over a chair and there's some tearing. I'll get a napkin, wouldn't want you to get blood on Kobe's undershirt.

My hate of Kobe has long since left me. My hatred for Lebron, and his cocky evil ways has taken over.

I'll never lose the image of him walking straight past two kids who had been waiting for hours to see him, wearing his jersey,
and quietly holding out something to sign. Lebron doesn't see the little people.

I find it ironic that folks here have blasted al Jefferson, boozer, and ak for not being competitive yet they want to blast Kobe. Man oh man, if anyone on our team had half the heart and work ethic as Kobe, we would be a top seed. Kobe is an all time great. And like every all time great, he brings it EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. So laugh and criticize Kobe all you want. But when al stands around on defense or half our team stands around chucking jumpers and just not giving a damn, remember that an all time great like Kobe would never loaf around like that. Had Kobe been drafted by the jazz we would have a few banners to show off and he would be more beloved that even mailman and St. John.

With Kobe, the lakers are a fringe playoff team. Without him, that joke of a team consisting of former superstars 10 years past their expiration dates, will be a bottom dwelling lotto team. I feel bad for them. I feel bad for Kobe. What he has meant for basketball has been huge. This is a dark day for basketball.

Nobody's bashing Kobe about not being competitive.

As a basketball fan I have always marveled at Kobe's talent and competitiveness, as a person he is flawed and has not always acted appropriately. As a teammate he has shown some immaturity and selfishness, however I also look at what he has accomplished and how he plays through pain. His willingness to play hurt also shows that he wants to help his team. He could have left the game last night after the first leg injury but he didn't because his will to win is above reproach. Whether you hate him or love him you cannot deny his basketball greatness. The guy plays hard and he wants to win badly even at the risk of hurting himself. I can respect that competitiveness.

I find it funny/strange how people judge athletes without really knowing the person or circumstances around the person. No one knows the entire story and no one on this board is perfect. People make mistakes and we are all flawed. Would you want people reminding you about something you may have done six years ago. As a basketball fan I never wanted to see any player go down with a serious injury, I was upset when Malone went down even though he played for the Lakers, I was upset when Memo went down (so were most Jazz fans). I think this is just sad for basketball and for Kobe. I hope Kobe can recover and close out his career the way he wants to. I certainly am not wanting the Jazz to back into the playoffs because Kobe got hurt. It just plain sucks as a basketball fan.

All the finger pointing about whose fault it is because he got hurt is just plain nonsense. How can you blame a guy for laying everything on the line to win? Besides injuries happen for all different reasons and are rarely predictable. Again, as a Jazz fan I hate Kobe the basketball player but as a basketball fan I respect his talent and drive to win, I hope he can fully recover and retire the way he wants to do but if he is done then I will respect what he has done on the court and leave all the judgement about his personal life to people who actually know him.

I second this assessment. I hate Kobe the person but on the court he is unbelievable.

I hate Kobe because he's a laker and we can't beat him. I've never hated him due to what he has done off the court. As a fan of the jazz I hate him and everyone else not on the jazz. Do I hate him more then most players outside Utah? Yes.

Crap! Meant to pos rep this I'll more then make up for the neg when I get a chance. Sorry.

It's too bad. I would rather make the playoffs with Kobe at full health.

You get a win anyway you can inside the rules.

I didn't start this thread to say hahaha or poor Kobe or yes! Kobe is done for good. Couldn't happen to a better person.

My only reaction was that this is good for the jazz playoff chances. Soooooo many fake *** Internet characters

When he retires I'll breath a sigh of relief, and that's respect. I don't see why I need to show him any respect now. I wish this thread would just die.

I'm gonna answer this ...

... with this:

When 'growing up' means you haven't raped anyone recently or chased a top 10 player out of town because you can't enjoy winning if it's not because of being a ball hog, you're probably a giant *******.

Who else is envisioning a Spursesque tank job for the Lakers next year and them somehow, miraculously getting the lottery to fall their way so they get the heir apparent to Kobe in Wiggins?
