KoC lending a helping hand

So far, KoC has accomodated th Clippers in their desire to reunite with Lamar Odom, as Dallas wanted no additional salary because of their Deron Williams pursuit. We get Mo, and keep our roster intact.
Next, he accomodates the Hawks in their salary dumping as they pursue Dwight Howard. We trade the now expendable expiring Devin Harris contract, and get an upgrade at SF in return.
The Rockets have now removed their qualifying offer for Courtney Lee, probably to free $$$ in their pursuit of Dwight Howard. IMO, he is our kind of all-round SG who would fit nicely. Signing him protects us from Burks struggling in year 2 OR if Marvin doesn't pan out.
With the Nets still after Dwight Howard, we could bring back Kris Humphries, as the Nets aren't likely to go after Humphries until the Howard deal is resolved. A solid rebounder, he would keep us competitive in the event Millsap or Jefferson and their expiring contracts are moved.
This would give us one heck of a deep lineup; no excuse to EVER have a low-energy game!!

PG - Mo, Tinsley, Burks, Watson
SG - Hayward, Lee, Burks
SF - Marvin, Hayward, Carroll
PF - Millsap, Favors, Humphries (signing him protects us from Millsap leaving)
C - Jefferson, Favors, Kanter

Burnt to a crisp.

Please take a hammer to your head until you lose the notion that Kris Humphries could have anything positive associated with himself and the Utah Jazz.

LOL; Fully Fireproofed...
Living here in Florida, I've seen a lot of Humphries on TV since the DWill trade. These last 2 years he is a better player in the paint than Millsap. Longer, and quicker. No doubt Millsap has developed a far better outside game...
Burks would not get buried on the bench; even with 12 guys rotating, that averages out to 20 minutes per player... Yes, I'd want Burks playing some b/u PG, as Mo at 6'1" is now our only defensive presence at PG. Burks has the physical ability to play good D; hope he's been workin' at it...

When was the last time a team had a 12 man rotation?

On other news...

Do you go to church? You look just like this guy I know that goes to the same church as me. A real nice, calm & kind man.

That was a worst case scenario.
If a backcourt of Burks and Hayward can handle getting us into our sets AND Burks can defend at PG, I'd not have Watson or Tinsley in the regular rotation, as both are defensive liabilities. Since Hayward can b/u SF, I'd exclude Carroll from the regular rotation too. That's 11 guys, worst case of ~22 minutes each.

Do you go to church though? Feel like a church goer to me... I might be wrong...
Not often.
My Jazz fandom comes from watching Jerry Sloan as a PLAYER on the old Chicago Bulls on TV back in the late '60's... Hated the Celts, loved Sloan and his Bulls...

Us. Last season. At least until a few guys got hurt and/or benched for insubordination. Corbin was triyng to find playing time for Millsap, Favors, Jefferson, Kanter, Bell, CJ, Burks, Howard, Hayward, Harris, Watson and then a little time for Evans and Tinsley. And add in Carroll after we picked him up.

We always argue about minutes with the assumption that everyone will be healthy for 82 games. So, yes, let's trade one of the bigs for just future picks and sign whatever big we can for the vet minimum. What happens when one of them misses a few games? Were then stuck with a scrub like Elson getting 10-15 mins/per. Even worse at the wings. If Hayward, Williams or Burks gets hurt or in foul trouble, then we're stick with who? A rookie drafted at #47?

Contenders will have vets who are willing to play 10-15/per, maybe even have a few DNP's, but be available for more minutes if needed. Howard, Bell and Tinsley should have been those guys for us. Tinsley was, Bell griped about his reduced minutes and Corbin overplayed Howard, primarily because CJ and Raja didn't give us much and Burks just wasn't ready.

I like Courtney Lee, but I don't think he's going to accept a reduced role around 20 mins or so. And I resally like the player Humphries has become. I watched a lot of Nets basketball after the trade (cheering for NJ to lose). And I found myself hating Humphries because he'd keep getting rebounds and second-chance points. If Millsap won't re-sign, Humhpries would be a decent option. Start Favors at the 5 and Kris at the 4. When Kanter comes in, slide Favors over to PF. That's also assuming Jefferson is gone or traded at the deadline.

I'm just going to assume the OP was either drunk or highly medicated when he made that post, and even if he says he wasn't I'm still going to say he was.
