KOC Making The Rules

Speaking of which, Joe Lacob (GSW owner) is somehow one of two owners on this committee.

This committee cannot be serious with that piece of **** there. KOC's primary objective should be to stab Lacob with a piece of broken glass with duct tape as a handle when they're in the same room.

i thought the committee looked pretty solid. The 2 owners probably don't really matter, but are just there to represent owner interest.

I see the NBA trying to cut down on tanking and adding interest to the lottery and draft. Lessen the % of balls for the worst teams and increase the % of balls for the better non-playoff teams. They could even add a slight chance in the lottery for playoff teams. Teams might not get stuck in the middle and the wouldn't be so rewarded for tanking.

Maybe something like the NBA champ gets one ball in the lottery and the runner up gets 2 balls, adding one ball for each slot so the 20th best record gets 20 balls and the 30th best team gets 30 balls. All markets would have an interest in the lottery. They could televise the balls being removed and the first out gets the 1st pick, 2nd non-duplicate gets the 2nd pick, and don't stop after #3, but rather go all the way through the first round. For the second round just stay in order of regular season record.

Also should be noted that the old committe was just all 30 GM's. Looks like the NBA thought that as efficient enough, so maybe we will get some better rules implemented?

I bet one of the main focuses will be flopping. I think there should be a group of people that review games for obvious flops. Obviously they can't do anything about some people who oversell contact, but for players like CP3, who get whiplash for no reason, should be fined 25k.

KOC should implement a no three-point line since we can't seem to be proficient at it.:)

That was my first thougth when I read the thread title. Other thoughts were to make it a penalty for gaurds to rebound, and no time-outs in the last 59 seconds of any game or half.

Serious condsideration should be given to stop advancing the ball on a time-out, make the ball in the cylinder rules more like international rules, and automatic tech for flopping if it can be shown it was a flop by instant review --the Kobe Bryant fall down at ESA a few seasons ago still bugs me, blatant abuses such as that should be a technical so that it impacts the game as well as the floppers pocket book. Interesting to see if the trend towards perimeter play and hands off while defending the perimeter will change.

I hate 3 second violations and really don't care how long someone is in the paint. If someone is in there too long, the other team should just adjust their game-plan rather than have the refs get involved.

Sounds like the UN committees on women rights (with Suadi Arabia) and Human Rights (with Cuba). Just amazing.

I would love that rule with Favors.

I think they should institute rules that prevents players from taking more than two steps or carrying the ball. But seriously, I would like to see a rule where referee assignments are completely random (not selected by the NBA).
