KOC on Sports Beat Sunday Tomorrow

LOL KOC gave DWill and 8 on his cliff diving abilities. Sportsbeat guy asked KOC if he will say anything to Dwill about the cliff diving, KOC said he'd tell Dwill to keep his arms closer together on the dive. :)

Sportsbeat kinda sucks. Or is it just me?

If you're going off of what H. E. posted then LMAO! :)

Seriously though, KOC would say that about any player on the Jazz.

I'm going off of what I heard on the interview, where he said that it is similiar to the Jefferson trade, except somebody leaked it. Also, they "haven't said yes to anything, yet" makes me think this deal is probably going down.

Weird. the only thing I saw was KOC talking about getting some veterans and the Dwill cliff diving? When did they show the AK part? Oh well.....

You guys will never make it as reporters. So, did he say anything at all about the trade, except that he couldn't promise that AK wouldn't be traded, and in fact, did he say that, because your comments seem facetious. What did he actually say?

I'm still trying to become an internet message board poster, baby steps man, baby steps.

All I saw was him talking about Dwill cliff diving and how Raja ( a veteran ) was like having a Harp/Fisher on the team. I swear the KOC interview was like 45 seconds long maybe a minute. Lame.

There were two parts to the interview. The first part was mainly about AK. he said he could assure fans that he never made any phone calls about trading AK. He said though that they did listen to trades regarding AK. He said that AK was part of the team and the only interest they have had all summer and now into the fall is to make sure they have the best team and not trading AK.
He also talked about how in the last 48-72 hours they have had calls about other players to but the only difference is that didn't make it to the media.
He said the only difference is he said with the Jefferson trade is that the Jazz and Minnesota kept their mouths shut till the trade happened.
He also said the Jazz have not said yes to any trade involving AK.
The next segment was all about D-Will's cliff diving and bringing in vets to help the team like Harpring and Fisher did.

Thank you, DMA. Apparently, the other guys didn't hear the first part. Doesn't sound like they're going to trade AK based on the parameters that have been reported, but if they do trade him, they will want more than that. Seems like a lot of things are holding up the trade, especially that Melo won't sign an extention for any team but the Knicks, and the Knicks can't come up with a package that Denver will accept.

He could easily be lying. If I was in his position I would lie too. I would say we are only listening and we haven't said yes to anything. It makes perfect sense to say that just in case if it doesn't happen. So nobodies feelings are hurt and so there isn't as much drama.

"If for some reason its not working out for utah jazz financially or you know economically I totally understand its business. Also in 9 years he has been traded everywhere (silly AK smirk) there is always a rumor. -Masha (im not good enough year round) Kirilenko.

Anyone else find the intro hilarious/sad as masha speaks for him as he sits back smirking looking foolish with his dumb haircut and a "made in usa" t-shirt only to show a pullaway shot of their home for sale?

-also someone was confused what day of the week sports beat SUNDAY was on?

Finally got to see the interview ... you guys suck as reporters. The last thing KOC said was: "We've said yes to nothing, and I think that's important for people to know." Hey, I've been a news reporter, so you try to get the exact quote because just one word off can change meaning. But he also did say that he couldn't guarantee AK wouldn't be traded and that they have been listening to proposals the last 48 hours. In other words, other parties are trying to interest the Jazz in becoming part of the deal -- which means they clearly said no to just Diaw and so Ross was added. Is everything simply contingent on Melo's decision to sign an extention? Doesn't sound like it to me, and it's not clear if Diaw and Ross would interest the Jazz either because they haven't said yes to that either.

Wasn't referring to you, DMA. The other guys who made all those lame comments before yours.

Because it's definitely our job to relay every word KOC said to you because you're too impatient to watch it an hour later on the internet. I even told you what he said in the preview and you accused me of being facetious. You think that makes me want to help you out further?

I hate you.

Yeah, I read that, but the way you put it, I couldn't tell whether or not you were serious. And all the comments that followed, made me doubt that you were, as well. You don't need to give the words verbatim. But if you said the Jazz are listening but have not agreed to the trade yet, that would've been enough. Well, I didn't get to see it until this morning. I checked after an hour and it wasn't up.

Furthermore, that statement was out of context, and a distortion of what KOC actually said overall. It's like a soundbite that P-R people use in political campaigns to discredit their opponent. You only hear half the comment which is not an accurate portrayal of the person's views or the reality of the situation.

Thanks for the specificity, and also thanks to dma above.
