Seriously though, it makes me wonder if we had actually drafted Porzingis, how he would develop behind Favors and Gobert?
Gotta give Phil Jackson credit for throwing the kid out there for 25+ min. a game in a hostile NY 'win now' environment. The strategy is paying dividends right now as Porzingis looks more and more comfortable with each game.

Minny is the clear winner.
They had the #1 pick though. Not sure I'd take Towns over Porzingis right now. Not bad for the 4th pick.

10x the year? Towns is absolutely amazing, an instant great. But they are fairly close on PER. Kristaps takes more outside shots, too. Watch his 29PT, 11REB highlights again. He is Dirk V.2. They are both going to be Hall of Famers.

Alrighty then.
Let's see how this season pans out. Is he better right now? Yes. Will he be better by the end of the season? Probably. Will he have a better career? Not so sure about that.
I'm nearly positive Towns will have a far better career.
Porzingis looks great, but I'm always weary of players who are that huge (health problems) and rely on jumpers too much (consistency issues).

Yeah guys, dirk freaking sucks.
I actually watched this game. He is already acting like a vet out there on the court. He is also already versatile enough finishing the game at the Center position with Anthony at the PF. He was pivotable to Knicks' turn around there is no doubt about that.
BTW the Knicks has already won 5 road games so far this season. They won a total of 7 last season.
You just wait. Towns will have a 240 pts 140 rbs 70 blocks game soon enough.

Imagine the Jazz promised to take Porzingis with the Exum pick and then drafted/Signed a PG this off-season?? most casuals I talk to about Porz have no idea he declared and then pulled out of the 2014 draft..
