Earlier in the year she mentioned that the future of sideline reporting didn't look good. My honest opinion from a few things I've seen/gathered is the pandemic kind of eliminated the position and there won't be a sideline reporter anymore. I also thin theres a very good chance media scrums/questions during practice and postgames will continue being via zoom. I think a few things during the pandemic changed some things that won't be changing back. I would not be surprised if her position on the broadcast is just eliminated. Spence Checketts mentioned a few days ago on radio he knows of some changes Ryan Smith has already made, and likely will be making this offseason. The current TV deal runs out and a new one is getting signed. I'd expect changes to the broadcasting, and also a good chance of streaming. I think Smith is going to revamp quite a bit on that side of things. D-Will mentioned a few months back that he may be being more involved with the organization going forward. It wouldn't surprise me if he did broadcasts in some capacity, I wouldn't be surprised if he replaced Matt tbh.

And all y’all who are bitching about the in-arena hype lady can pound sand. Complaining about a woman’s “voice” is barely coded. She’s obviously good at her job, comfortable in front of the camera, etc.

The crazy train moves faster when someone lets themselves go “hypothetical” upon hearing a rumor from Beanclown. Pretty hard to disagree with this, bruh.

Locke is a good stat guy and does bring up some valid points (I remember, shortly after he returned to the SLC market from Seattle I think, so many years ago but before he was the Jazz' radio guy, and he was going off on how it was mathematically smart for teams to take way more threes than they were taking at the time, and I think he was shown to be right). But I can't do his voice. It's not for game calling. It's too nasally. It's too whiney. It's just not a good voice for broadcasting play-by-play.

As superficial as that is, I think the voice is at least part of the equation when it comes to a successful play-by-play guy. He just doesn't have it.

His voice is really bad. I'd hate having him as the next Boler. He also talks over the color commentator which is annoying and definitely wouldn't work with live games.

He knows a lot about basketball and is passionate about his job. I’m sorry his style and zest rub you the wrong way..... that’s really sad.

I’d be more keen to hear you critique his ideas, though. This style **** ain’t matter very much in the grand scheme.
 
I met her at bestbuy and she told me that she’s dating Spida and that’s why she had to part ways with the Jazz. Also, DLil really wants to come here. Crazy how you always meet Jazz players and owners at Best Buy, right?

David Locke might have the worst voice and personality on basketball. And that includes a world with Mark Jackson. Locke sucks
