Kyle Lowry to the Jazz?

Lowry doesn't fit with the chemistry. Listen to the WOJ Podcast where he interviews the former Raptors coach... Lowry is a liability in the locker room.
I watched one clip of him at the podium and knew right then the dude is just ****** (as a complement that it's long been rumored he is ******).

File this idea under "hey guys, remember how much we love this team? How can we completely destroy that?"

Not gonna happen. I think that the Jazz would rather have Rubio tbh. He's younger, on a cheaper contract and they already know he's good chemistry fit and a good fit for how we play.

Nope. Rubio is better, for us at least.

It's been too long. I think it was the last 15-20 minutes of this episode. Nothing ground breaking, just that he's headstrong is what I recall. Probably the 39:09 mark in the summary at this link:

Yeah, but this is overall positive. He also calls him one of the smartest players he has coached and someone he thinks could be a coach. Sounded more like a strong personality that will argue w/ coach (I think that's most star players) than a negative locker room personality.

A trade like that would not make sense, I think. Lowry is an overpaid 32-year old point guard who is clearly statistically on the decline. Okay, he is a very good 3 point shooter, but has never been an all-around good shooter, which means he can't have a high usage as a scorer with a high efficiency. He was never a great facilitator, like Rubio was, but in the Jazz offense he wouldn't have to be. With that being said, he would be -- theoretically -- an upgrade over Rubio, but at 32 one cannot count on him on maintaining production or efficiency. Look what happened to George Hill!

I really like Lowry as a player and I actually think he's quite a bit better than Rubio but that is just way too steep a price to pay.

If he was on a one-year deal and the trade was Burks+Rubio for Lowry, then sure, I'd give it a try. But there's no way the Jazz are willing to sacrifice that much cap space. If it was for DeRozen then maybe.

Let's not make it about countries, geez the game is so multicultural look at our jazz, perhaps the most international team in the league...

I have never liked Lowry. Even when he was at his best.

5 years too late on this guy... no thx.

Honestly, only if Rubio told us "nope, not re-signing, have a nice life, get me outta here, kthnbye!" Otherwise, Lowry gives us nothing production wise over Rubio.

This is probably off the knowledge that Lowry and the Jazz were in preliminary "talks" about signing him last year.

I wonder what we would have done with Rubio if we would have managed to sign Lowry last offseason? We had just barely traded for him.

Uhh, the talks cut off when we traded for Rubio. That's why I did talks in quotations, because they were under the table talks.

To acquire Lowry from the Raptors, the Jazz will be needing to send Ricky Rubio, Alec Burks, and 2018 and 2019 first-round picks to Toronto.

I say !@#$ no!

Yeah, Ted Stepien rule. NBA changed it in the latest CBA but from what I can tell this isn't even possible.

How do writers make a living not knowing their ****? Many of us post more researched crap on here all the time than these rag junk putouters.
