What's new

Kyrie to Utah?

Yes, Carmelo who's done nothing to make his team better at age 33 has more value than Irving who's been to back-to-back-to-back Finals at age 25. Holy Christ you're dumb as a doornail.

Uhh, what has Irving done w/o LBJ?

What has Melo done w/o LBJ?

The answer is one got to the Conference Finals and the other was leading a bottom 5 team to draft Anthony Bennett.

I'd take Melo over Irving for the Jazz right now 10/10 times.

Not sure it'd be enough but I would trade Hood/Exum/1st for him. His lack of defense & the probability of him leaving as soon as his contract expires make him a less than ideal fit but he is young & would bring some much needed scoring.

Doesn't matter tho as he is the opposite of the type of player DL appears to be targeting. I would be surprised if we even make a competitive offer.

The reports are they want the trade to center around a "blue chip rookie deal prospect", so that means we would have to give up Mitchell.

I have zero respect for anything Kyrie does or has done in the league, everything he's gotten is thanks to LBJ and he wants to leave? This is not a team guy. What a bitch!!!

?

I mean, we get mad at players for teaming up then we get mad for players wanting to break up?

I dont like Kyrie the player, but I like him wanting out of Lebron just cuz it's something different.

Yes, by all means, let's ignore their 8 year age gap.

Who the **** has Irving played with before LeBron? Can we at least consider that and that the only difference between the Cavs and the Kings is that the Kings didn't win the lottery that got them a generational talent? Then win another lottery to get Kyrie? Then win another lottery and completely blow the pick, then win another lottery and trade that for Kevin Love.

Most players don't do jack **** without other very good players. Carmelo didn't when he was in Denver either (Chauncey Billups, Marcus Camby, Nene).

How could we even be having this discussion? Irving is far, far more valuable than Carmelo Anthony. It's not even close.

Jazz fans: Complain about loyalty when Hayward leaves for Boston

Also Jazz fans: Trade anyone but Gobert for one of the most overrated player in the NBA

I'm sick and tired of this talk. Look, I'm not mad at Hayward because he left, I'm mad at him because of his attitude towards the team I love and how he handled the situation. BUT even if not, why do I have to be fair to a player who is not in my team. If someone thinks, it's hypocrisy to celebrate players who come to my team and on the other hand I dislike those who left, they literally don't know the definition of a fan. There is not such a thing like "professional fan". I do not get paid for being a jazz fan(on contrary I pay for it). I don't have to be "politically correct" if I'm a fan. So as long as I'm a loyal fan and not a bandwagon, I can dislike Hayward as much as I want.

By the way as I was typing this I realise, I'm pretty conservative whet it comes the Jazz even though I'm a heavy lefty in real life :)

All the people in this thread saying kyrie sucks and that they wouldn't want him on the jazz remind me of the people a few years back who said that they would never want harden or westbrook on the jazz.

Lolz.

Jazz have Gobert. That's about it really. But we don't want all stars that don't fit into a tiny little box that we have constructed for them. Lol. Get star talent when you can. Especially young star talent.

Don't see him as a star that helps a team win on a consistent basis, also he'd be a two year rental. What's the point in that?

He is a star though and would help us win. 2 years is a good amount of time. Hell, how many players on the jazz are under contract for more than two years? Not many that's for sure.

I'm not saying fans shouldn't act that way, but when we act that way then turn around and expect absolute loyalty it's hypocritical.

And it has nothing to do w/ Hayward currently, it's about trading players to get someone else. It's to the current players we have. So yeah, while we are constantly thinking about players we'd rather have on the team, players are also thinking about teams they'd rather be on. Loyalty only exist when those 2 things line up.

He played in an Eastern Conference that was still super ****ty. He should have at least shown a better ability to win. The Cavs are a better team statistically when Irving is off the court also.

And Carmello won when he was in Denver and in a tough conference.

Irving to me is like a souped up version of Alec Burks. He does a lot of nifty and fancy things to make people think he is better than he actually is. This is super evident when people call him the best under the rim finisher in the NBA despite it not being close to the truth. He just occasionally makes some of the most difficult looking finishes that end up on Sportscenter. He is stuck in a mindset of playing in an inefficient way where he worships Hero ball over efficiency and plays no defense.

But we have a far better shot at resigning them. So, either we are talking about trading Kyrie a year from now or another offseason of meltdown a year later leaving us where we are now as I'm guessing we lose either Gobert or DM. CLE could find better offers then X and Hood or favors and a late first. Lmao!!
