Memphis acquired Iguodala from the Warriors in a trade earlier this month and aren't willing to give him up for cheap, so a buyout may be an unlikely scenario. According to an earlier report from the New York Times, the team might head into the regular season with Iguodala if he can't be dealt for a future first-round pick.

The 2015 NBA Finals MVP has reportedly garnered interest from the Rockets, Mavericks, Clippers and Nuggets, but they all seem reluctant to part with a top pick for the 15-year veteran.

If I'm the Jazz I'd be willing to give Memphis a pick for Igoudala (if that's all it takes) - Iggy was excellent in the playoffs yet again last year and almost won game 6 of the Finals for the Warriors.

On a related note, I made the mistake of listening to local Jazz talk radio this summer, and Gordon Monson had the audacity to ask why on earth do Jazz fans hate the Lakers? Them getting Igoudala would be reason #557.

The Jazz are over the cap. Igoudala has a 17 million dollar salary. We'd have to match salary to trade for him. It would cost us a lot more than a pick.

And I'm not concerned at all that the Lakers are keeping a roster space open for him. It's a waste of their time tbh. They can only get him if the Grizzlies buy him out. Which the Grizzlies have no interest doing right now.
