I don't really care about this trade. I care about the Jazz and with their roster, no way they were making it out of the first round. Maybe if they played out of their minds. Howard going to the Lakers to me really doesn't affect us. After the way he acted and how he showed his true character, I feel bad for any team that has to put up with that ****.
 
Like most Jazz fans, I don't really like the thought of Howard being in LA. But it could only be for a year. Dwight seems determined to make it to free agency and he could go to Dallas or elsewhere in a year. Ultimately, as kwb said very well, this trade doesn't affect the Jazz much right now. If Howard re-signs in LA long-term, that would change things, but the Jazz weren't going to contend for a title this year before the trade, and barring some incredible move, they still won't.

I don't think Dwight is going to leave a 5 year contract with a ton of money for a 3 year money with a huge amount of money. The Lakers will win him over...

I couldn't watch the video since YouTube is blocked at work and I'm in the process of replacing my phone. But other teams would be able to offer 4 years. My thought is that if the Lakers don't win a championship this year, Dwight may seriously consider going to Dallas.

I hate the NBA. Luckily the combined greed of the players and owners will send the league into a massive implossion before the current CBA is over, sooner if we are lucky. After all the lawsuits are settled the Miller family ought to get a nice monthly check from the NBA for 30 years or so and then maybe we can get another ABA like league going with a franchise in SLC. Bring it on.
