Are you nuts? Lamb is already better then CJ miles. Dude is a athletic freak who can shoot and will be a star one day. Scottie Pippen with better offense... that's his best case scenario.
You right that it should not be even a question.... Lamb all the way.

Some say CJ 2.0, some say superstar. Well, he's neither--he's somewhere in between, people. I can easily see him being a starting SG in the NBA, or a guy who brings instant offense and defense off the bench, depending on the situation. If we draft him, I imagine Burks and Hayward starting with Lamb coming off the bench. But he certainly has the talent to give Burks a run for his money as the starting SG in the future.

I'd probably prefer it if Terrence Jones or Austin Rivers fell to us, but if they don't, I think Lamb would be a perfectly fine pick.

I don't hate Lamb at 14 (depending on who's still on the board, of course), but that's as far as I would want to reach.

Easy - Lamb - he's a better defender than Rivers, has better shot selection and can create his own shot with ease. If we can get Lamb and Marshall it'd be nice, but I think Lamb will be gone when we pick at 9 (Beal will be there, but I'm not sold on him).

The tides have turned a little--if we want Marshall, we'll probably have to use the GS pick on him, if we even get the pick, that is. What a roller coaster ride it's been following that pick..

All this talk of Lamb being a better defender than Rivers. To me it is a toss up. Neither are great. Lamb has the body to be good, but not the mind. Rivers doesn't have the length that Lamb does but he does have the mindset that if he was challenged to be a better defender he will become better.

Total toss up.

That it! I'm calling BS!

Objection!

You sir are no mind reader.

I heard Lamb has a 4.0 grade point average.

I disagree. Rivers is definitely undersized at the SG position, while Lamb has elite length and is also more athletic. And Rivers may have a better mindset on offense, but he's just as mentally sketchy as Lamb on defense.

The only good news about Rivers coming to Utah: He would complain about minutes and shots so much, that he would be the first rookie in Jazz history to average 40 mins a night and 40 shots a night.

According to DX, he is 6'5 in shoes. That isn't ideal height, but I wouldn't call it undersized. Some of the best SG's in the league are 6'4/6'5. James Harden, Eric Gordon, Wes Matthews, Aaron Afflalo, Wade, etc.

Rivers also has a 6'7 wingspan, which is also good.

Thank you for pointing that out. I have been waiting for the combine for those measurements, but we might as well get the measurements that are out there right now.

The ESPN analysis of Jeremy is very good. Says he is a very good shooter and a very good defender. With Rivers they said he wasn't very athletic. Thats all I need to see. I want Jeremy Lamb. But Im sure KOC will screw it up and pick another unathletic guy.

You could be right. It all depends on how he performs before the draft. I don't think he's as offensively bad (scoring-wise) as the media claims - and I wouldn't mind taking him with our first pick - if we don't and he's selected by someone else before we can use our second pick to take him, that would suck.

This is my new account.

I have been watching videos, a lot, of both these guys and I want rivers more. I think lamb would be a better fit in Utah. I am not sold on rivets being a team guy. On pure talent rivers is better. Either way I don't want a 2 guard in this draft. I would rather take another big before another 2. Hayward has proven he can be the mn at the 2 and burks is not bad either.

Give me a pg or sf first.

I would say Lamb has an edge in the talent dept. I've always been pro-Rivers because he will. not. be. denied. That's just who he is.

it's a tuff decision but ill go with ..... hmmmm....um ..i guess lamb

Did you all see that dunk?

Plus haven't you noticed that when a draft has two people with the same last name then one will be good and the other won'tiishhh

So, who is it going to be?
Doron Lamb
or
Jeremy Lamb

Perry Jones
or
Terrence Jones

I already know both answers, troll.

Did you see that? I trolled the troll. I'm a troller of trolls .. the trollmeister, really.

This was a big concern of mine. To be honest, it is still a slight worry of mine. With that being said, you have to ask yourself what role that Rivers has been asked to play in high school as well as at Duke. From what I can tell, he was asked to be a scorer as well as the man.

I believe that he will take on whatever role he is asked to do. Hopefully whatever team gets him can take advantage of his abilities. I do believe that Rivers can develop respectable PG type skills. I guess only time will tell.
