Las Vegas Summer League Game Thread: July 13th - Utah Jazz vs. Minnesota Timberwolves 7:30 PM PST

I'm uber shocked Dala wasn't here for this btw.

Dalamon strikes me as an activist, which I can respect, and not a whiny *** social justice warrior, who suck. There is a tremendous difference. One of them is understanding when it appropriate to push their agenda and when they are just being an *** in an entirely unrelated context. People aren't challenging you SJW's at Thanksgiving dinner because they agree with you, they just want you to shut the Hell up and go away so they can enjoy their Turkey and stuffing.

Did anyone notice that Jazz alums Jeffers and Nick Wiggins had solid lines for the TWolves. Ian Clark has also had a couple 0f 19 point games for the Nuggs.

Probably the single worst game thread in recorded forum history.

The most pitiful one I can recall.

Do these cornballs think this **** is actually funny? Lemme be the first to tell some of yall - you sound like stereotypical, know-it-all, fat, lesbians in their 50's.

Between this lame thread and posters saying Deron Williams is still their favorite player - I've had my fill of the hysteria that pervades this forum, In just a few months back.

Can't say I'm surprised about anything from a fanbase that gives Karl Malone a pass for impregnating a 13 year old..
. ICYMI; Dude's a ringless, dead-beat piece of ****, who's "earned" a pass because he's a privileged athlete... What kind of 20 year old messes with a 13 year old anyway?? ****s disgusting, that's rape.

So say what ya want about me, I'd jump off the Brooklyn Bridge before I ****ed a 13 y/o. What defense is there for Karl? Do ****ers use that grass on the field joke?? Or perhaps a joke about southerners/hicks??.. Or is it just epic levels of wide-spread denial(amongst God fearing folks)??

Perhaps I'll be back next summer to talk my **** again. Maybe not. I'll be out here in NY repping this current Jazz team regardless. Y'all can have your echo chamber back now. Be easy Jazzfanzers.

P.S. Ty Lawson just got another DUI.

That may be true in this case, but my reading of history is quite different. Natives (or at least some natives or tribes of natives) often killed, and even scalped women and children, in addition to the men during raids on settlements or during other conflicts. Just one example, the Deerfield raid in 1704 during Queen Anne's war.

Yep, and they were encouraged by the French to lift those scalps in the Deerfield Raid of 1704. I'd have to research it more, and not just guess, but I'm pretty sure scalping was actually introduced by the Europeans. 1704 is well into the Contact Era, and natives did not stop at killing just men. Before the arrival of Europeans, New England tribes often fought one another, but there was actually very little bloodletting. Running up and touching the enemy was something to brag about. Killing him, not so much. Total war was introduced to the New England tribes by the English. Hundreds of Narragansett women and children were roasted alive in the Great Swamp Massacre of Dec., 1675. After events like that, the natives had no trouble returning the brutality in kind.

But don't think I am saying this was universal or somehow Native Americans were not capable of such things. We know cannabalism was practiced at times among the Anasazi of the Desert Southwest, for instance.

Sorry for veering that far off topic, won't happen most of the time. Reading this thread during the game last night, I was just reminded of the old dictum "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out!"

. If you want to argue with each other take it to general discussion and stop ruining what should be a game thread.

What do you mean by "you"?

Also, pressing conquered tribes into slavery was quite common. Women were taken as trophies.
Ahhh, the good old days.
Got me feeling nostalgic

Any word on Exum? I'd love to see him play. These r confidence games for him right now. And that's just what he needs!
