Las Vegas: Worst Mass Shooting in US History

No, that's not what I said at all.
How do you know what is credible and what isnt?

There in lies the problem.

Everything and anything could be a lie.

This could all be a dream. We could be in the matrix. Up is actually down, and down is up.

The source and credibility of the source, the information provided, science, counter arguments, evidence, etc.

Yeah, they could be lying or wrong. I don't find that to be their agenda though. Too many of them.

Fair enough. Good answer.
I will stop being a dick head now. Sorry about that.

I disagree. I'm not a scientist, but there are many scientists, engineers and military officials who support Jones and his theory. I'd be happy to provide you with their names, backgrounds and research articles they've written about 9/11. I know you're a smart guy (I think you're an engineer or something, right?) but how can one completely invalidate many scientists and engineers opinions on this? Obviously, if it were so clear cut, you wouldn't have so many credible people support such a bogus claim.

Oh yes please do. Can you start with Richard Gage's claim of having a list of 1000's of architects and engineers who are demanding a new investigation? I love some good old McCarthyism in my old hobby of reading conspiracy theory.

Never mind, I found the notorious list. I liked this one most so far:

I have a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, 1973. My transcript records some 160 semester hours of credits. I have worked for county, state and federal agencies in the capacity of civil engineer. My focus was on surveying and mapping.

So a 60 something year old who does surveying and mapping. That's worth adding to the list. Here's his great reason for joining the petition:

It is fantastical that one of the hijackers' passports survived but 100 stories of skyscraper was pulverized.

Here's 82 of them to start with. If you click on their name, it will tell you their problems with 9/11.

These are going to be precious. Just the third one in:

"I worked in the military-industrial complex from my Ph.D. in Physics in 1969 through the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989. The cold war was over and I went into the woods to center and balance myself. Unfortunately the "war on terror" replaced the "cold war" and in 2004 I founded 911TV.org to broadcast the truth of 9/11. Since then, I have been working full time on 911Truth as a video producer and editor. I have worked on numerous David Ray Griffin shoots and international conferences and am especially proud of my work with Steven Jones and publishing the discovery of Nano-thermite on DVD."

These are going to be precious. Just the third one in:

Let's say half of these guys are irrelevant, crazy, and conspiracy bandwagon boarding hacks. That would leave 41 of them, who undeniably have some credibility. There has to be, you'd think, some traction in what they're saying or no?

Compared to the several hundred other experts who specifically debunk their claims?

Interesting read on the "nanothermite" claims...

https://willyloman.wordpress.com/20...ce-surrounding-the-nano-thermite-red-herring/

What they proposed in their paper was that they had found “active thermetic material” that utilized “nano technology” in the dust from the WTC demolitions. In later discussions, they (Jones and Harrit at least) have estimated the presence of at least 10 tons of this unexploded material exists in the dust that was scattered around New York on Sept. 11th, 2001.
There has been a great deal of reasoned evaluation of the paper itself and the results of those evaluations have not been positive.
For the most part there is a a great deal of proof out there that the “red/grey chips” that Jones et al based their paper on, are in fact a rust inhibiting primer paint with a Kaolinite base.
“We can also say that because Kaolinite is present and that it is embedded in a Carbon based matrix with Rhomboidal Fe2O3 that a more likely explanation for the red material is paint.” JREF
Now this twist has forced the Jones/Harrit/Roberts crew to slightly alter their story-line. Now they are suggesting that this primer paint that was used in the towers was actually the super-secret explosive nano-thermite and that the big plan was to run around spraying the underside of the floor systems with “explosive paint”.

I think I'll go with Archie's linked Scientist for Truth active member and inkjet printing specialist Mr. Mark Basile. He does have a B.S. in Chemical Engineering after all and is obviously a qualified expert.

"In December 2007, Steven Jones spoke in Boston, MA. of the iron based microspheres and red/gray chips he had discovered in the WTC dust. The red layer exhibited the properties of a thermitic material. He put me in contact with a woman artist who had supplied him one of five different samples of dust looked at so far for these materials. She mailed me a sample which she labeled, dated and signed and I began to evaluate it. I can confirm the presence of nanothermite in this and another independently obtained sample of WTC dust. I will be looking at two new samples starting in May 2010."

Wow! He obtained some dust from a hippie artist that he claims to have contained thermate. Sounds like solid science to me. The only thing I've ever gotten from an "artist" was gonorrhea.

That guy called himself an artist?

Anyone watch Adam Ruins Everything? This weeks episode is very apt for this discussion. Its Adam ruins Conspiracies.
