Hell ya. Sick as ***.

Imagine, these guys are travellin the world, scooterin, makin millions, and I'm stuck here in a 9-5.

Not player hating, just sayin, life aint fair sometimes.

re read thread title.

You're doing it wrong.

You actually listen to the songs posted? You sir, are the one doing it wrong. This is the song dump thread where we act like people really care about what we have listened to, post what we have listened to, and then nobody does actually end up listening to that which is posted. Except for you apparently.

It's a good song. It's certainly not a song you throw on a CD or mobile player and repeat over and over again or listen to while you are with your boys in the car(or even admit to listening at all), but it has its place....like this thread.

In the middle of a huge Kendrick Lamar binge...gangster rap with an underlying message of morality, what's not to love?

WARNING: NAUGHTY WORDS IN VIDEO DON'T GIVE ME AN INFRACTION

Here's a cleaner song with Kendrick Lamar in it. It at least amused me the first time I heard it:

Is Kendrick Lamar Gangster rap? I think he's ok, but I would say he's more hipster rap

Some say love is a burning thing
that it makes a fiery ring
oh but I know love as a fading thing
just as fickle as a feather in a stream
see, honey, I saw love,
you see ti came to me
it puts his face up to my face so I could see
yeah then I saw love disfigure me
into something I am not recognizing.

See the cage, it called.I said, "Come on in"
I will not open myself up this way again
nor lay my face to the soil, nor my teeth to the sand
I will not lay like this for days now upon end
you will not see me fall, nor see me struggle to stand
to be acknowledge by some touch from this gnarled hands
you see the cage it called. I said, "Come on in!"
I will not open myself this way again.

You see the moon is bright in that treetop night
I see the shadows that we cast in the cold clean..
I might fear I go and my heart is white
and we race right out on the desert plains all night
so honey I am now, some broken thing
I do not lay in the dark waving through the..
now my heart is gold, my feet are right
and I'm racing right on the desert plains all night.

SO some say love is a burning thing
that it makes a fiery ring on the ..love as a caging thing
just a killer come to call from some awful dream
and all you folks, you come to see
just to stand there in the glass looking at me
but my heart is wild, and my bones are steam
and I could kill you with my bare hands if I was free.

I'm talking about the style of his music, lyrics, and beats, not Kendrick Lamar himself. He doesn't pretend to be some thug in his everyday life. But yeah I don't really care what you want to call it...what I'm really saying is that he has a deeper meaning masked behind a sound and style that isn't usually associated with substantive meaning...and he does it in a pretty smart way, in my opinion.
