Cheesecake Factory. I don't think there's any out west though.

After that, I'd go probably Friday's. Their menu is fairly large and I find the food to be pretty good. Solid seasoned fries too. I do like Chili's like Cy too but I think they took Country Fried Steak off their menu which had always been my fave.

It's not like putting together and cooking a Hamburger patty is difficult. It's not. What sucks is all the other processes that are needed to really get something special. Bacon, different kinds of cheese, tomatoes, onions, shredding lettuce, sauteed mushrooms, roasted garlic, toasting those buns, fried onion ring. It's time consuming and the opportunity cost is too great in comparison to just going to a place that's inevitably within 5-10 mins that provides what is on par with an extensive, time consuming activity at home all at a good price.

TWC just opened a location a 5 minute walk from where I live. My wife is a big wing eater and we go there fairly often. They're quality wings.

Best chain restaurant? egggghhhh, uhhhhhhhh, I'll go with chili's too, I guess. I'm having trouble remembering what qualifies and then which I've actually had the honor of patronizing since I stopped going to any of them years ago. but, yeah chili's.

EDIT: Any national chain that will deliver a good BLOOMIN' ONION. Outback is my final answer

Cheesecake Factory does exist in the west.
 
I ate at Yeti Pizza down the road from Red Iguana. $3.95 for a 12 inch pizza. Sounds crazy, as Little Caesar's has gone far downhill on quality trying to keep their $5 hot and ready that cheap. This place gave me a great pie with tons of sauce, plenty of cheese, and filled almost all the way to the edge of the crust.

If you're early to a Jazz game and hungry, take a quick trip over there instead of paying $5 a slice or whatever it is inside the arena.

Actually his post about my supposed pretentiousness for paying more than he deemed appropriate for a meal is the ******* post.

Your hypocritical thought policing schtick has gotten old several months ago.

Cheesecake factory is literally the worst restaurant in America you can eat at in terms of health. It is also insanely delicious. Correlation perhaps?


Oh and there are Cheesecake factories out west.

Firdays is pretty good, a better Denny's really, but a solid menu and their AYCE apps is pretty damn good.
 
In the vein of costs of restaurants the most I have ever personally spent on a single meal is $75 per person, at Emeril's in Vegas. And it was worth it. 7 course chef's tasting menu paired with wine in between each course. I don't drink so I, of course, sipped a couple of them, determined they were basically vinegar and nyquil, and stuck to my diet coke. Which paired pretty well with the bison filet mignon and imported roquefort cheese and taragon butter sauce or whatever.

This. In spades. Nothing better than throwing a few lobster tails on my grill, or smoking whole lobsters. Smoked adds a new dimension that is just incredible. I use apple wood for this.
 
I like lobster, but it's easy for lobster to be done poorly. Poorly cooked lobster is not as good as poorly cooked shrimp, and shrimp cooked really well or like crap is much less expensive than lobster. I'd say I only like really well made lobster just slightly better than I like really well made shrimp, so 9 times out of 10 I'd opt for shrimp over lobster.
 
Oscar's Café, in Springdale Utah, had the best ****ing breakfast burrito I've ever had anywhere -- ANYWHERE -- on this planet.

The serving was massive, and the taste was just ****ing sublime.

Surprised I never shared that here after I visited Utah back in April.

Also, haven't really had any seafood since being in New Orleans last May. God, y'all are making me miss shrimp.

My wife, daughter, and I went to godfathers pizza last night and got the buffet. Fantastic. 10 out of 10.
I had about 4 different types of pizza. All were fresh and amazing tasting. I got some potatoes and gravy and it was good. Fried chicken was good. Cinnamon rolls with Carmel on them were heavenly.
My wife tried a salad and said it was fresh and good and she also loved her pizza she ate.
My daughter ate a bit of everything and seemed to like it. Especially the chocolate pudding.
Pretty cheap too.
Loved dipping my pizza in their marinara sauce.
They had a bunch of other stuff that I didn't get to try (too full) like various pastas, meatballs, mac n cheese, mashed potatoe casserole, and other pizzas. (cheeseburger pizza, chicken bacon garlic pizza, dessert pizzas, etc)
Gonna have to do this once a month I think.

I don't dislike Café Rio and will eat there if the opportunity arises. The food is so close to the same it doesn't matter. But I get 2 for 1 coupons to Costa Vida, and I like that they have horchata to drink - plus it is closest to my house.

I actually had no idea that Café Rio and Costa Vida were only regional restaurants. Never thought about it, actually.

As far as if they are "sit-down" restaurants, you could go either way with that argument since you do get your food cafeteria style.
