And opposing coaches (even good coaches like Carlisle) looking at Lauri's scout, thinking that they'll throw out Nembhard 1-on-1 on Lauri with no help. If our man was from the hood and not a reserved Finn from Jyväskylä, I'm sure he'd be screaming THE DISRESPECT!!!

Lauri would have had 40+ if they hadn't changed up their defense on him. Even then, if we had a better playmaker he would have had 40.
 
It’ll be interesting to see who picks Lauri tonight. I wonder if he gets picked by Giannis. Here’s what Giannis said of Lauri yesterday: “He’s one of those guys I like. You want to play with a guy like that. A guy who can protect the rim, a guy who can space the floor for you, who can shoot the ball, take people off the dribble. He’s tough and loves to play the game of basketball. It’s fun to watch him play. I’ve been watching him for years and he just keeps improving. He’s going to be one of the main guys in the next couple of years that will probably be dominating the league. So it’s great to watch him play and maybe in the future, we are teammates.”

And Giannis takes the Finnisher.
Hopefully Danny Ainge has plan B secured and ready if Giannis tries to recruit Lauri to Millwaukee Bucks in 2 years when Lauri is UFA.
 
I thought Giannis might pick Lauri because that way he could get the crowd to cheer for his team. First for Lauri. Hopefully more to come for him playing for the Jazz.
 
In order to get this guy a worthy running mate we really need him to come down with a nagging 'injury' that keeps him out of 20+ games the rest of the season.

I trust DA's ability to assess talent, the two best dudes we drafted weren't high picks either.

yet if you show that same graph three years ago, it looks pretty much the opposite. Collins is having a down year and Lauri is ultra improved. Never know what kind of improvement Collins makes (similar to Lauri) with a change of scenery, new coach, new scheme, new teammates, etc.

three years ago, Collins averaged 22 and 10 on 40% threes so he definitely has it in him.

Lowish volume 3s tho and probably an incomplete season
