LBJ supports League Contraction

Somebody doesn't seem to understand the difference in the talent pool between the 1980s and now. European basketball essentially didn't exist in the 80's, and now how many foreign players are in the league?

Fail. LeBron needs to learn when to keep his dumb mouth shut when discussing a topic that he obviously has very little information on.

What this sounded more like to me was "everyone should have teams that are loaded like mine, so I don't look like a coward for choosing to be on an all-star team".

...can't drop the Jazz. They are one of the more successful teams in the NBA and sports in general! Sell out, stay competitive, make the playoffs, advance most of the time when making the playoffs, fun to watch, fundamentally sound, and fiscally responsible, Klinko's contract not withstanding!

I KNOW YOU DONT HAVE TO TELL ME.

but seeing as the world does NOT like the jazz lots of people wouldnt care if jazz got dropped

So when collusion takes place between arguably 3 of the top 10 players in the NBA, contraction is the obvious solution for the mediocre teams left behind.

Forget the fact that a lock-out is looming; but shouldn't James at least have won something before making a comment like this? I admit, I love to watch the guy play - but he clearly is mildly retarted.

I would love to see a hard cap where 3 of the top 15 players couldn't get together and move over to Miami. I would also like to see James knees brokern Tonya Hardy Style for the betterment of basketball. (Ok maybe I wouldn't go that far.)

His dislike for James completely taints his articles though. In many of his articles, his leaps in logic are quite dumbfounding.

I've talked about this here before. Wojnarowski seems like a crazy person when he writes about LeBron. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so.

As for the topic at hand, I have no idea why this causes any controversy. Everything James says is true. It seems clear to me that the league would be better off if it contracted a few teams. When they added the last few teams that they did, all the talk was about parity and how this would thin the available talent pool for each team and make the league worse... And it did.

Mildly retarded is a little harsh. I was thinking more along the lines of Stewart from MadTV. "Look what I can do."

He's like an antelope that just got ****ed by a rhino everytime he dances on the sidelines.

He's one of those extremely unsmart people who see themselves as Aristotle, and can't stop his mouth from flapping out novelties.

Why does he have to win anything when he is already treated like he has won everything by default. Classic Narcissistic Entitlement Syndrome:

"NES is something that is not easily defined but, in its simplest form, it is demonstrated by a person being inwardly focused and oblivious to the people and organizations that he or she are supposed to serve. I link the concepts of “entitlement” and “narcissism” when discussing this syndrome because the sense of entitlement most often has classic narcissistic undertones. People with NES see themselves as special, believe they should have whatever they want regardless of the feelings of others, and continually inflate themselves while putting others down. There are five major characteristics that people with NES often exhibit:

First, they are generally preoccupied with fantasies of limitless brilliance, power, and success. While these types of thoughts may occur from time to time even amongst healthy people, the person with NES will generally be quite consumed by these fantasies. Advancement and achievement are extremely important to them and they envision the environment around them as one where they should be the center of all others’ attention due to their achievements."
