Combination of both. Race definitely plays a part. And if you think it doesn't you're blind. I heard two young white men talking about it at a bar. One said to the other flat out 'Just because those (n-words) get all that money, they suddenly think we care what they have to say.'

Do they speak for everyone? Obviously not. But it race an issue? Definitely.

I am speaking purely from my own observations, but it seems that White athletes are dogged on a lot less. (Obviously they ARE IE Ben Rothlesburger, but even then... there is something different. A lot of people I talked to thought the penalty was too large? WTF?! Too large?! Seriously)

Anyway. Yup. It's a combination. But to say Race doesn't play a part is short sighted.

Can you imagine if someone like Payton Manning totally screwed over Indiana in his younger years and was a diva and in love with self and decided to sign some where else? No one would care, because he's white right?
