Legalize marijuana?

I dunno…I just think going to stuff like that because you're stressed/depressed is just avoiding the problem instead of trying to solve it. You're just pushing it away…I don't view that as healthy, but I'm also not a doctor. Just a feeble minded hick.

I'll smoke because it is fun. I enjoy having fun.

But I will certainly try to solve death.

I appreciate the concern over whether or not I am avoiding my problems when I smoke weed, but even if I am, the point is that it's really my decision.

What are y'all non-smokers doing when you are watching the Jazz? That **** takes time, and there are certainly other areas of your life that you could be addressing.

Sad it always comes down to a alchol vs. weed debate or an 'imagine the tax revenue!' point. Should just be about freedom.

I don't really want crystal meth legalized, though. You could make an argument that in many urban areas, all drugs should be legalized, but for the majority of the country, I don't think legalizing coke, heroin, and meth would be a good idea. Therefore, I don't think it's as simple as that. There are plenty of other legitimate reasons for legalization. It all comes down to pros being greater than cons, and I think a big part of America is finally coming to grips with this.

I can respect that. I'm all for legalizing everything.

Well considering all I usually drink is one beer (or a glass of whiskey), what would be the equivalent with marijuana?

What?

First: A beer and a glass of whiskey aren't even equivalent.

Second: Drinking a beer is not normal/average for people that drink. I would say that's like taking one hit of schwag(not chronic)something that is probably more common than drinking one beer.

Third: All people are different and react differently but someone is more likely to be violent after a glass of whiskey than smoking an entire chronic blunt all by their lonesome. (Drinking a glass of whiskey is more common among drinkers than smoking a chronic blunt by yourself is among pot heads)

And it's good to know that we need to be experienced in things before having an informed opinion..

Nah, you're entitled to yap as much as you want about things you're clueless about. Having an informed opinion is really only for people who aren't dumbasses. Actually, that's not even true, since even most dumbasses can make the connection between having an informed opinion and not knowing what the **** they're talking about.

And lol at you for getting mad because you're one of the select few who still uses "stupider".

You were nitpicking about language that is correct. Weak attempt to deflect attention from the fact that you really just don't know what you're talking about.

Glass of whiskey is generally one shot, two if you order it that way. Bottle of beer = one shot = one glass of wine. So yes, quite equivalent.

I know plenty of people that have one or two drinks and that's it. I wouldn't say it's uncommon at all. I agree with your 3rd point, but I don't believe we were addressing that.

You're kind of an angry person who thinks they need to attack others to get their point across.

Maybe I don't know much about what I'm saying, but at least I'm trying to learn and keeping an open mind. I'm certainly not going to attack you for your opinions like you're doing, but I guess that's what makes us different...right?

In my experience this is how I would rate the addictions that I have dealt with.(totally anecdotal and just my experience)

From least to most addictive.

Pot-Smoked for like 3 years. 1 day I realized that I didn't even really like it. I quit cold turkey and haven't used it in over a decade.
Refined Sugar-Pretty addictive but I could probably cut it out if I wanted to.
Caffeine-Honestly might be more addictive than alcohol. I've never tried to cut it out but too long without it and I will get quite the headache.
Alcohol-It was very hard for me to cut out liquor. I still rely on beer to keep me from going and getting a fifth. The first few days of shakes really suck.
Nicotine-I'll probably die a smoker

I would assume most people who are going to comment on the stupidity of others would know the proper usages of the word 'stupid'. That's all I was going for there. Having an informed opinion about words and how they're used is important, unless if you want to yap as much as you want about think you're clueless about.

/see how that worked there?

It's probably for the best. Give you some time to get some things done around the house.

Huh? Not quite sure what you're insinuating here. Care to spell it out for this moron?

Now I know that there are always exceptions, and that some people are successful and smoke pot…I just don't see the purpose/reason.
Why do you watch basketball?

I guess you could make a similar argument for alcohol and I wouldn't really disagree with you there either. It's not necessary, but I know that for me, it doesn't alter my mind like marijuana does. If it did, then I wouldn't drink.
What's so bad about altering your mind temporarily?

No a glass of whiskey is not a shot. A shot of whiskey is a shot.

I would guess that 2 is generally the minimum most people have. I would assume that is why when you buy beer singles tend to come in 24 oz and above.

I admit, I get a little pissy when people resort to nitpicking language in a post, simply because they have nothing sensible to add to a discussion. In fact, I make language mistakes all the time that are actually wrong, unlike here. Sometimes I misspell words even, or put in commas where they don't belong. Hard to believe, but even though I have a pretty good grasp on the English language, I still make mistakes at times. You should focus on those kinds of things, rather than trying to have an honest discussion.

You have an unnecessary comma in there, just so ya know. :)

I meant to do that. Trying to prove a point. Where was it again?

(still can't believe I used the less often preferred usage)
<I'm so stupid, um, I mean I'm so more stupid?>

Is there a reason you're taking this so personally?

There's literally no reason to be mad over any of this…like, none at all.

My mistake. Wherever I go, I just order a glass and they ask if I want a single or a double. So perhaps I was mistaken, my apologies for the wrong usage.

And I've found that most beers you buy at a restaurant come in pints, which are 16 oz…still larger than a 12 oz bottle/can, but not exactly 24 oz either.

I took offense to several of your posts, and don't pretend you didn't do the same. Never the less, I would rather get back to a real discussion, for the purpose of educating ourselves as well as others. You said you were trying to learn and were keeping an open mind, so I propose we move on. Agreed?
