What's new

Lester Bo McCalebb?

That was a pretty good mix. He looks good enough to the point that I have to question why I've never heard of him before. Somebody in the NBA should sign him. He'd be entertaining at the least.

It's possible but not for sure Barcelona and Real Madrid also chase him. But I'm glad you know what a "huge" player Bo is and I think he will adopt easily he played against a lot of NBA stars and left them behind . :D

**** the Spurs, seriously. I fear he'll become the next Scola

..
Anyway he's most likely going to play in Turkey or Russia, I hope it will be the former, Fenerbahçe, my team:)

Yep, he signed with Fenerbahçe :D Don't know the details for now, probably 2+1 for 1.6M Euro per year for Bo, and 1.3M Euro for the buyout.

Nba Europe Live Tour: Fenerbahce Ulker-Boston Celtics 97-91
McCalebb MVP of the game with 21 points and 5 assists!!
Nobody commenting?? :-)

Speaking of best PGs in Europe anyone know where Michael Stockton plays in Germany? I want to go see a game or two.

he is the best pg in europe, he helped Fenerbahce ulker beat Boston yesterday, however he isnt good enough to play in nba, at least not in the role he has in europe

He can exactly play in the NBA especially regarding the names of former guards like Boykins,Raul Lopez,Farmar etc. He is a bit undersized but a master of the high pick n roll game either being a passer or great finisher. His 1st step quickness and exploviness is so rare. Of course his minutes and role can not be as same as in Europe , but he still can make the point and play the game. His defense on NBA guards would be a question mark and his shooting release is slow which makes him just a set up shooter though even his dribbling ability compensate all facts. When he retires, he will be the same as David Rivers in Europe.

David Rivers? That must be an honor.
That's what I was thinking. I had to google David Rivers to find any info. He was drafted 25th by the Lakers in 1988 and then played with the Clippers the next two years. Three years in the NBA with absolutely no impact. But good for him that he was able to carve out a very good career in Greece and other stops in Europe. There are many players that have great careers internationally, but who never make in the NBA. I suspect Lester Bo is going to be one of them.

This here is the first part of a finals game of Rivers while he was playing for a Turkish team which would be easily called an absolute Dream Team. Too bad they shut down the club. They were historically good. You can also check out the nice Fenerbahçe line up, the team that has beaten the Celtics the other day. Rashard Griffith was the Shaq of Europe back in those days, and yeeeaah now I remember! You can check the rookie's rookie days Mehmet Okur in Tofaş Roster too!! He was the backup center for Griffith. Man those two teams were like lob city those days. Conrad Mcrae (may God have mercy on his soul), Rashard Griffith, David Rivers, Steven Rogers, (maybe Rickie O'neal Winslow but I think he was in some other team named Telekom).

Yeah if he does not come to NBA and prefers more money and role in Europe, he is easily replacement of David Rivers and David Rivers was god in Europe when he was playing for several years . Bo already plays for Macedonian national team and he is just 27 years old, lots of years to play and impact ahead of him.

There are also many players who are capable 7th or 8th men in the NBA(or even fringe starters) who couldn't hang around a European team for more than a few months.

Hell, Brandon Jennings rode the pine hard in Italy but dropped 53 in his rookie season in the NBA.

Oh, and Bo has one thing going for him. The issue for many foreign players coming here is the adjustment to both the style of play and the style of life here. Bo played college ball, and is of course an American.

Memo came to Tofas from Oyak Renault and he was playing 4 as being again perimeter guy. The roster of Tofas was excellent as they were playing lots of cuts, P n R and back doors. Rashard was killing opponents with his awesome strenght and memo was bombing behind the arc. Rivers' quickness was undenyable even he was old when he came to play in Turkey. Glad and happy to see the video clip, thx man. You deserve rep.
