Let the Jeff Withey Era Begin!

Why is not Withey shooting the three? This is disappointing. I read a article on Granyland (rip) once which says even at like 31-32 % a big shooting 3 is efficient offense because the spread the floor factorial. Anyone can shoot 30 per cent three so why not Whithey? He has a good stroke.

Can somebody ban this loser?

You know he is going back to not playing once Gobert comes back? I just can't see Quin benching Booker and not playing Lyles.

Sadly, I agree. That said, right around this time last year was when Quin started doing the right thing and playing Gobert. Maybe the trend continues. Once the team is healthy, this is how I'd like to see the minutes distribution.

Neto-18, Burke-30
Hood-20, Burks-28
Hayward-32, Hood-8, Ingles-8
Favors-28, Booker-10, Lyles-10
Gobert-32, Withey-12, Favors-4

I think that's a good balance of playing our best guys the most, constant interior defensive presence, all while developing Lyles and Neto some.

Someone needs to go back to the 2013 NBA Draft thread and rep those who wanted to draft Withey in the second round. ;-)

Withey has a soft touch. I have watched him warm up and he has a solid stroke. Not sure if it would translate to games, but if he can develop (or has) a good outside shot he will be one of our most underrated off season additions in a long time.

Tell me more.

A good balance IMO.

Favors should get 0 minutes at the 5 once Rudy returns. Save the back!
The guy who needs to sit is Booker since he has NO future on the team. Trade him in a package or for a 2nd round pick.

Gobert 30/Withey 18 (Pleiss garbage mins)
Favors 30/Lyles 18 (sign Dleaguer)

Whithy is still young as far as total minutes played and still developing. Unlike Rudy, I think he has a chance to develop his midrang game and be a much better offensive player then Rudy will ever be. Id like to see the Jazz lock him up before he costs too much. Not sure when they can do this. This is why I was so excited when the Jazz signed him.
