Al Jefferson (+ Raja Bell) for Al Horford or Josh Smith

or

Paul Millsap + Raja Bell for Al Horford or Josh Smith

Since ATL is shedding contracts, I think they would move Horford before Smith. Unless they like Millsap or Jefferson more than Smith, I don't think they'd do expiring for expiring.

Would Utah want to take on Horford's remaining 3 years of a $60m deal (+ bonuses)?

Hate to be a downer, but I think they'll see if Smith & Horford could net them Howard first...

Or keep Horford & Smith, and keep the cap space to sign Howard next year when he becomes a FA.

Howard, Horford & Smith would form a solid line up. Especially when you consider that he's from Atlanta...
 
Josh Smith is a wonderful rebounder, great athlete... but he's in love with his own terrible jump shot. No thanks.

This. Howard and Smith are great friends having played on the same AAU team growing up.

Sidenote: Their AAU team was called the Atlanta Celtics, and they also had Randolph Morris at the time and simply dominated...and the joke back then (like 2002 or 2003) was that the Atlanta Celtics were better than both the Atlanta Hawks and the Boston Celtics combined.
 
The title of this thread could go in the Pet Peeve thread in GD for me. Without the Dominique Wilkins trade, there is no Utah Jazz. They don't owe Atlanta anything for that. OK...back to your trade thread.
