What's new

Lets face it this team blows!

Ah, someone I want the Jazz to completely avoid, the get stats guy on years of bad teams.

True, but he is still young, and I don't think even you can question the talent. With great distributor of the ball in Deron, and coach Sloan, who is a great teacher for young guys, I think there is definitely all star potential there. We could have have young athletic front court that can block some shots, rebound, and score. Both guys - Jefferson and Millsap - have near 20-10 potential as starters. I think Derron would love that, and two years from now have these guys start alongside him could make it hard to go somewhere else. No, Jefferson is not a proven all star. That's why he is even available now. But he certainly showed enough that in right environment he can get there.

KOC has done a great job over the years. Some moves were brilliant: like getting Booz as soon as Cavs screwed up, raping Portland for 3d overall pick, drafting Millsap, Korver, getting Donyell Marshall for nothing back in the day, and many others. But last few years it seems like we are just standing still.

This is my biggest frustration. KOC has shown creativity and foresight in acquiring players. But his best moves were years ago, in recent years the jazz have done nothing except a couple of salary dumps that wreaked of desperation. As a franchise they seem to be all over the place with out a clear direction.

I have to wonder what the jazz personel decision process is like. I'm pretty sure that the KOC was told to acquire a three point shooter and probably given Korver's name specifically, he was probably told to offer that awful Harpring extension. What else was he doing under orders? What did he do that got vetoed by the Millers or by Jerry? Boozer was rumoured to Chicago last year--did Jerry kill that? AK to Phx for Marion was killed by Larry.

Maybe having everything fall apart this offseason will be a good lesson for the franchise--let the GM do his job.
