At all? They're making maybe a quarter of what they'd make over here, far away from their family, friends, the culture, all while slowly wasting away the few years they have to make NBA change. In short, I'd guess it would cost the average NBA'er a few million this year alone. More likely, for most, their entire paycheck.

If you had a boss that was raking in the dough hand over fist off of a product that you made then wanted to put a cap on how much you'd make at $200,000/yr even though you're generating $500,000 for the company, and instead of sticking around and trying to come to a reasonable agreement, would you try to stick it to him by going to a different company that will pay you $80,000/yr? Not sure I'd blame you if you did, but what I don't get is why you'd jump at the opportunity to get your $80,000 somewhere else instead of making that your last resort.

And I forgot to mention that there would be a 100% chance that you'll see all of that $200K, and about a 50% chance you'd see all of that $80K.

Another point to bring up is what kind of talent are these players going to go against. So, I thought they thrived off of the drive to play with the best of the best; It seems like all they want is $$$. Ironically they are taking less to go to possible dangerous locations. When all they have to do is negotiate and push their player reps to do the best for the league. It would drive me crazy that Fisher is the rep for the players that is like negotiating a contract with you company and you are sending Joe who is a year from retiring. How could he represent the players especially in their prime?
