Just wanted to say that I prefer getting "Likes" to getting rep. Getting rep is nice, specially if it comes with a relevant message. But likes are public. Not only does it tell me that you like my post, but that you're willing to tell it to others too.

So thanks for all the rep, but specially for the likes.

Well, with a Rep, you also get a special message tailored just for you. It can be a bit more personal and heart felt.



Also it takes longer to register a Rep so it means that person must have really appreciated your post, or you as a poster, to go that extra time to do it for you.



Kinda like when your gf rubs your shoulder or your feet,.. you can really feel that she cares. Of course she could have just said "I love you" but sometime action speaks louder than words.

Do you want some Pom poms to go with that skirt? You need public recognition an group cheering than fine I can like all your posts to make you feel special.

It was really hard for me not to dislike this post. But, I've recently been made to believe that that sort of behavior is the true problem with JFC... especially if it comes from me. So, Siro, I'm going to finish typing and then go back and like your post. It's what needs to be done before we lose another very valuable member of our community.

And then I'm going to pos rep ONE LOVE's post.

Easy for you to say when you have a RAP of 100
 
I never did learn what reps were, how to bestow them, or that they came with messages. I use the like and thanks tabs, but don't know where a rep tab is, or messages for that matter. I do know I'm very comfortable here, and appreciate the intelligence and diversity of views on this forum.

I don't think the rep arrows are on the mobile version, but I could be wrong. Anyway, on a desktop browser there is an up/down arrow icon and you click it and select wither positive or negative rep and have to option to leave a message. It was a thing at one point but since it's capped at 100 RAP (rep adjustment power) and most of the regulars are maxed out it has become much less of a concern.
