I came here for one reason, and one reason only. This list starts with Nickelback. It can end anywhere else you please, but that is where it begins.

Yesterday the former head of Warner Brothers was interviewed on Satellite Radio - he described Prince's process for putting music together literally note by note going back to his first album when he wasn't even 21 years old. It really was impressive. Also his work ethic was unparalleled - there wasn't a studio engineer in the world that could keep up with him.

I think the reason he doesn't make any of these lists is because for the most part his enormous persona overshadowed his music. He was an extremely private person yet at the same time incredibly flamboyant - the public probably never met the real Prince.

Just watched this for the first time. Absolutely ****ing awesome. Petty and Lynne were pitch perfect, really paying homage to the orginal quite nicely, and then Prince did his thing in a really unique way that fit. Loved seeing the interaction and smiles between he, Petty and George Harrison's son, especially knowing it was paying tribute to his father, and then Prince throwing his guitar up and away at the end. So Prince. So ****ing cool. Thanks for that gandalfe.
