List specific Mistakes Corbin has made

1. Starting Bell. He should be the last player off the bench.
2. Not running more. If your PG wont run you pull him and find somebody else. Since this wasn't done i assume this is by plan.
3. when down by 20 plus points in the fourth you must play the young guys the entire fourth. Even more true with a condensed season.
4. Not letting Favors play with foul trouble.
5. Not using his time outs to stop runs by other teams. Sloan often let his team play on, but he also has stockton and malone.
6. Not giving Burks and Kanter more burn. They seem to be playing well.
7. allowing players who are off to continue playing. Hayward was 1-9 or 1-10 from the field tonight. Instead of watching him struggle why not pull him in favor or someone else. The same is especially true for CJ who is a streak shooter. Give him time and if he hits a couple leave him in and see if he can do it the whole game. If he misses three shots, its not his night and park him on the bench.
8. Not running more pickNroll ball.
9. running the entire offense to get Jefferson isolated on the low block. Too much standing around and hoping Big Al makes the shot.
10. Making Scott layden an assistant coach?

Not playing Burks, not playing Burks, not playing Burks, not playing Burks, and not playing Burks.

The fact that Burks has outscored Raja in his past two games in the whole 2 minutes of time he has got on the court is a total indictment against Corbin, and frankly, I'm teetering towards the Fire Ty bandwagon.

But it's not just that, this team's offensive issues are depressing.

Agree with all except #7. Would this conflict with #3 or #6 when Burks or Kanter struggle. Maybe it's not 100% Corbin, though. Perhaps KOC, who loves to "collect" assets, is asking Corbin to play guys like Howard and CJ, perhaps even Bell, a bit more, in hopes of upping their trade value. You can't convince me that wasn't the reason for starting Okur. I think a few players could be dealt for picks later this season.

11. Not guarding the three line. The spurs have been a three point shooting team for three years. Guard the damn three point line!

Is Phil Johnson available?
Sarcasm?

Why would we want someone who might just possibly bring back Sloan's inept substitution patterns and vague analysis (see the Spurs post-game) when we were successful in freeing the team from them (except that the Jazz hired someone who is somewhat infected [speaking of "infection"] with the same philosophy, but with more ineptitude)?

How about "allowing players who are off to continue playing non-garbage minutes"?

Starting Okur is consistent with Corbin's flawed philosophy of favoring veterans, even if they do not deserve it. And with Okur, it was part of his rehabilitation (at the sacrifice of Kanter & Co.).

I really don't think that KOC would (often) tell Corbin to play players more--especially given that Howard was just acquired. Isn't there a waiting period before retrading?

11. Too much help defense by our wingplayers resulting in open 3s or easy points after some extra passes.

Especially with this group of puppies, theres no way Sap should get less than 32 mins a game. And the Raja thing makes me wonder if Corbin already has early onset dementia. Corbin is not head coach material.

1. Failing to gain HC experience at a lower level.
2. Not being ready: had no assistant coaches in mind when named HC.
3. Being indecisive: see failure to name captain.
4. Being indecisive: changing starting line-up after 2 games.
5. Failure to change when needed: since AJ and RB have become starters, the Jazz have cornered the market on slow starts.

I don't know how many assistant coaches have a list of assistants while they themselves are assistants, but yes, it would have boded for better preparation if he had.

#4 can be turned as a positive; he's still experimenting, which can be done as a good way.

#5 is endemic of not only Corbin but also his predecessor. Key difference? Fans are being a lot more harsh about Corbin being unproductively resistant to change than about a Hall of Fame coach. I regard that fact as progress :|.

The most symbolic for me is #3--and seeing CJ Miles do the extemporaneous pre-game "speech" to the home Jazz crowd on Friday only underscored the lack of player leadership on this team (and Corbin's lack of leader development). Millsap would've been the best option IMHO; even though he's quiet, he is the most deserving of being a leader, because he's the most solid player. Did Corbin ask him? Wouldn't asking a player to give the "speech" a good way for a coach to groom / try out a player for leadership? Wouldn't even Jefferson be better the Catch 'n Jack? Or maybe Bell? Or Harris (supposedly the floor general)?

CJ Miles representing the team, Ty? Really? Why didn't you stop this? Were you asking for volunteers? For anyone besides me, does CJ's volunteering to speak for the team symbolize his volunteering to heave up shots for the team?

Come on, he was here for what, 7 years, and had been interviewed several times for HC jobs. Needing assistants comes to mind later? Not saying that he had to have them ready to sign and go tomorrow, but he seemed thoroughly clueless as to whom to hire at all.

Also, he seemed to not be ready with any of his own ideas on how to make the team perform better. I think most of us after 7 years of sitting on the bench watching games would have a fairly good list of ideas of what to do. Sitting Raja Bell would top my list.
