What's new

Livio Jean-Charles

Wouldn't hate it, should be able to play SF with his speed and length. 33% three point shooter last year and 38% this year in the French League, although very small sample size.

He's got potential--a 6'9" SF with decent athleticism, who plays hard and rebounds. In the bigger picture, Poythress is more talented, but Jean-Charles would be a good pick-up in the 2nd round.

I don't think we can pass on Steven Adams or Caldwell-Pope at #21 if either one is there.

I like him. I don't know about at 21, but I like him. He might be about where Demarre Carroll is right now in terms of perimeter ability but he's seven years younger and more athletic. I wouldn't be upset if the Jazz got him at 21, but again, I'm not sure I'd make that call.

I'd pick a bunch of players ahead of him, including Larkin, Erick Green, Glen Rice Jr., ...maybe even Carmichael. I'm not sure what Jean-Charles does is going to translate to the pros.

Currently slotted as a mid second round pick, and that's about right for me. With Hayward and Marvin under contract and Carroll likely to re-sign SF is not a needed position. If he is actually a PF, he may be the next Millsap, but this time hopefully the guy will be ok coming off the bench.

This.

I'd much rather take bpa with #21, and try to get this guy by moving up to the late-first or early-second round.

Hi everybody,

First of all i'm french so excuse me if i'm not writing correctly.

I'm a fan of ASVEL the french team of LJC and i watched some of his games.
He started basketball playing PF but staff want him to play more the SF position with professionnals.

In fact he can play both position but he needs to work on his 3point shoot and ball handling to be a good SF offensively.
He can score the 3 when it's an open shoot but for the moment he'll prefer the extra pass.

Defensively is a beast and he can defend on SF or PF. He's very good at rebonds (off and def) and blocks.
On def rebond is fantastic to protect his position.

Personnaly i think 21 is too high for him.
He certainly needs 1 or 2 years in Europe before going to NBA especially with ASVEL that offers him playing time.
