I voted for the max contract because it would unite Jazzfanz like nothing before!

1. Frank asked how big an extension the Jazz should offer. I don't think they should offer him that much.I doubt he'd accept less though.
I took the $12 mm option with the idea that you're potentially using it as a trade chip down the line than actually buying the player outright. The idea that Jefferson is totally worthless and should be dumped for a 2nd rounder has always been somewhat perplexing to me.
This has also been on my radar. I don't disagree with anything you said .. I'm just fearful we take back salaries of players not as good in the process. I may very well (hopefully) be wrong.
The goal here is to keep Jefferson as a tradable asset with a reasonable contract without killing our cap. Someone would offer him 3 years and $40 - $45MM. I mean, look at Boozer's contract.
You couldn't handle it. I'll buy wine coolers to go with your turkey.

False. If you sign Al to a reasonable enough contract, he can be moved, at worst, for expirings and picks. Dumping assets for fear of some unlikely future outcome is pretty stupid. With that said, I wouldn't be comfortable with a deal starting at $12mm.I know it is a hard decision but if you give AJ another contract then you are basically ready to lose one of the big three Millsap/Favors/Kanter.
& whets the damn schticky already mods? This impotent wheres get schticky to support jazz biggest dime idling factor since Wes Matthews?
