Hell yeah. A bigger, stronger Favors? Yes please. An aggressive, lights out shooter Hayward? Where do I sign?

Go Jazz!!!

Extend Hayward now especially if you can get him for under 10 starting. Wait on Favors.

Naw, re-sign both of them. Even if Favors doesn't get any better (he will), he is still 6'10, long, and a defensive master.

It is really hard to shine in practice games because the guards and wings do all the shooting. I would extend both guys and try to strike a deal before they have blow out years.

I agree that both guys are part of the future moving forward (along with Kanter.) I'm not necessarily sold on Burks and Burke, but I feel really good about the front court. I'd be perfectly happy to see the Jazz extend both guys now and build around them. Hayward is going to develop into one of the better scorers with starting minutes and two solid big guys inside. Get him some wing and point help and I think he has All-Star potential. Favors may not end up being an All star because of his offensive limitations, but he's a great defender and raw enough to improve on offense. He wants to be a leader and seems to be doing and saying all the right things. I think that both guys are only going to get better as the young core gets quality playing time and develops together. I'm glad to see that they're both acquitting themselves well in that setting.

If Favors wants to be on the USA team, he just has to show he is the best defensive player at the camp. They will need a defensive big to replace the aging Chandler.

The only player there that can really compete with him on defense is Larry Sanders. I think the coaches will be intrigued by Deandre Jordan, just because he is so big and athletic, but I don't think he is as good as Sanders or Favors, plus his FT shooting makes him a huge liability.

The part about Favors playing well, but not standing out pretty much sums him up perfectly. I think he'll always be "pretty good" and play "pretty well", but won't be an all star level player. I hope I'm wrong.

Potential is a mf, it makes the haters look like **** in the end.

No offense, but meh. They all say this stuff when interviewed by a team's reporter.

DeAndre doesn't have **** on Favors. He's nowhere near this category.. someone the fanbase would love to see dumped. He can't rebound to save his career, only thing he does is get some blocks. Big deal.

Defense is between Drummond and Favors, and I'm worried Drummond has the edge ATM. I'm pretty excited for the story of Favors vs. Drummond over the next few seasons. Their game is as similar as it gets.

^Watch Drummond p-n-r tape with a real point guard who gives the ball in the correct spots. Favors might up his ppg by 6 from this alone if Trey is competent.

I would be VERY surprised at Drummond over Favors. For many reasons I'm too lazy to type.
